"This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Wisconsin! The owners are amazing, the cottage is so warm and cozy, it feels like home. They’ve thought of everything to make the stay as relaxing as possible. Extremely clean, all the basics are provided, and some special touches as well. We absolutely love to watch the deer in the backyard each day, and listen to the sounds from the lake. It’s perfect!"

"We had exceptional time at The Port Hotel and plan to return. We have told a number of our friends already, when they would like a relaxing weekend. The Moonlight Tavern and Supper Club was a wonderful surprise with its cordial staff, excellent menu and the best looking and tasting drinks we have had in a long time. Additional bonuses were Franklin Street with locally-owned businesses and the maritime history. It was a memorable weekend. Ed and Mary"

"A nice large home with amazing views of Lake Michigan and surrounding woods. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we didn't need to go out for meals. The design of the house is rather dated-an 80s contemporary with plenty of stairs. But very clean and neat and comfortable. One drawback was that the upper bedrooms got very hot and there didn't seem to be cold air coming out of the ac vents.The main level was very comfortable. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back! The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns.house is a bit quirky, as the master bedroom is on 2 levels."

"The property was wonderful!!! It was in an extremely peaceful location. We loved walks on the beach and sitting out by the lake in the mornings. Also the main room had a beautiful view even if you were not outside. I also loved the decor! Everything was so fitting of a lake cottag! It also was a reasonable distance from many great locations! Great, peaceful central hub for our adventures!!! Alan was a wonderful host! He was very good and quick on communication! We would gladly stay there again."
