"First and foremost, I highly rate the staff as they were very friendly and helpful. Subham, the property manager, was extremely helpful and really went out his way to look after us, such as calling reliable taxis after we had two major setbacks (which didn't relate to the hotel I'll add). Partha Dutta on reception was very friendly and such a nice guy, Palash Nath in the restaurant/bar provided such a great service, as well as the rest of the team. "I enjoyed staying at the Mount Amara, but there were a few difficulties – the hotel is very quiet because it is about 300 m away from the main road, and overlooks an open field. "Food was good, facilities were clean but at 3am, despite the air conditioning being on, the temperature in my room increased to 26+ degrees celsius. The hallway temperature increased to above 30 degrees celsius making it extremely uncomfortable. There was no fridge in my room but was clean. The maintenance engineer advised me that the a/c system gets turned off at night. Staff attempted to be helpful. I then booked another hotel closeby."
