"The hotel was great - landed late and wanted to stay overnight before the 5-hr drive home. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is great as Embassy is famous for! Would stay again if flying in and out of Charleston. "

"I believe the place could be a bit cleaner. Found hair in bathroom and in bedroom. And the stove top had food on it. It may not be the location's fault and more of the people staying there but someone urinated in the elevator overnight. Overall, the place feels older and may need a deeper cleaning. "

"When I checked in the room smelled like dog piss. There was no other rooms available so I had to suffer through the night. Of course no sleep. I was finally moved to a different room. The smell was so bad it was making me sick. The lock on the door was broken. The outside of the door had black smudges. The shower faucet was loose. The toilet paper holder broken. Needless to say this hotel needs a lot of repairs and upkeep. Overall it was manageable. The staff was great even the manager who assisted in getting moved to another room."

"I ran out of hot water before I finished my shower. Nothing like a cold rinse! There was no soap in the shower, so I bathed with shampoo. The sink in the bathroom had a huge crack in it and several smaller ones. As I turned on the light for the first time, I spotted a small black beetle making its way across the floor. The walls are so thin we could hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. The mattress was lumpy, but the linens were clean. The breakfast was good, and we were pleased to see the waffle makers and very tasty muffins. All staff we came in contact with were friendly and nice. As we checked in, we were pleased to see a coffee bar also included teabags. We will never stay in this hotel again."
