"The breakfast was sorely lacking, but there is a wonderful cafe across the street. The price was right, the front desk attendant was great. I asked for extra towels and got them right away. It could have been a little more spiffed up and cleaned up, but all in all it was good. Oh, the pillows were big and hard. It was great for what we needed."

"The apartment was amazing, comfortable, spacious with outstanding views of the Mississippi River and of course the train movements. We were hardly bothered by the trains at night. Rebecca was a great host. All the amenities were on hand and then some. My wife and I would highly recommend this property and Rebecca as a host. We are already planning our next trip to Ft. Madison."

"My husband and I recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Windmill Farmhouse. It is very cozy, comfortable and clean! It was like having two vacations in one-a wonderful, very short drive into Nauvoo during the day and then a peaceful stay in the country in the evenings. The property has wonderful backdrops outside (fields, windmill, barn, silo) that are perfect for photo-ops so don't forget to bring a tripod for your camera! Laura, the host, promptly responded to any inquiries. We will definitely stay there again!"
