About this property

Bunya - Private 4 Bedroom 2 Bathroom House

  • Bunya is a newly renovated two-story, four-bedroom, two-bathroom brick house, set in a 5-acre property at the top of a hillside surrounded by mature trees. Relax and unwind on the wrap around patio and soak up the sounds of nature in this peaceful and tranquil setting. The property is close to town, the golf course and Baroon Pocket Dam. Enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring locally sourced products before exploring the surrounding area. Let us be your home away from home!

    The entrance leads you into the light filled large lounge with fireplace and French doors overlooking the patio and front garden. Next door is the dining room with sash windows and fireplace and adjacent to the full kitchen with all necessary appliances and ample storage and bench space.

    On the ground floor is the master bedroom with Queen bed and its own ensuite, bedroom 2 with double bed and the family bathroom. Upstairs is bedroom 3 with queen bed and bedroom 4 with double bed with an additional lounge area.

    The wrap around patio allows for two outdoor entertainment areas: the back for dining with access to the kitchen and the front for sitting, playing and relaxing with access to the garden.

    Enough wood for the fireplace is provided for the cold winter nights during your stay, and there is a reverse-cycle air conditioner in the living area, and in bedrooms 1, 3 and 4.

    * We provide some initial breakfast provisions including freshly baked bread, milk and yoghurt from Maleny's award-winning dairy and cheese factory, jam & marmalade & a selection of tea and coffee pods.

    * If you require more wood, you are able to purchase from us, IGA, Woolworths and the Service Stations.

    * Our property is semi-rural and is not on town water or sewerage. Our water comes from rainwater tanks, and we have a wastewater treatment plant.

    * Pets are allowed and we charge a pet fee. As we are semi-rural and part of a wildlife corridor, the greater property is not fenced, and all dogs are to remain on lead at all times when on the grounds. Bunya and its private garden are fenced.

    * There are pasture-fed free range chickens on the property.

Our stay was amazing. The hosts, Linda and Antony, were very responsive to text messages and communication from the time of booking making the process so smooth and easy. We were given clear instructions on how to access the property and felt very welcomed from the time of our arrival. We especially felt welcomed with a lovely basket of local fruit, jams, fresh home-raised chicken eggs and a scrumptious selection of pastries. It was such a gorgeous accommodation, with beautifully presented bedrooms, 4 in total, making for a warm and comfortable night’s refreshing & restful sleep for all of us. I felt like I was in heaven sitting reading in the outdoor area, surrounded by gardens and trees, making the area such a private and divine sanctuary. Overall the most amazing, tranquil get away experience. I so loved looking out from the kitchen window to enjoy the beauty of a magnificent flowering, very healthy Camellia. Thank you so very much.

Everything was fantastic. The house is beautifully well appointed and super clean. The host was welcoming and the stay included some little surprise extra touches like fresh flowers and breakfast hamper of delicious local produce. Would highly recommend this place and would stay there again.
