A dream house in a dream location. Watch the Northern Lights from your bedroom, from the couch in front of the panoramic window or directly from your own hot pot. It doesn't get any better than that - GREAT!

We stayed in the Sulur house and it was incredible. The view spectacular, and we actually saw a whale come by. I mean this place did not disappoint. The hot pot was great and bed so comfortable I really can’t say enough about how this place nade our time in Iceland a great experience. We stayed 3 of our 8 nights here and it was our absolute best experience.

We stayed during the winter (Mid Feb) and the house was perfect. The views from the property are breathtaking and we had a magical experience watching the northern lights from the hot tub every evening. Waking up to the view from the master bed overlooking the fjord was spectacular. It feels remote and peaceful, but still close enough to Akureyri for supplies, restaurants and the ski hill. It was the perfect base for exploring the northern fjords and mountains, with good hikes, natural hot springs, lava fields, mud pools and fumaroles within an hours drive. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative at all times. The only consideration is the kitchen. It is very well equipped and adequate, but has limited storage and bench space so cooking for a larger group may be a little challenging. I would have no hesitation in booking again for another Iceland adventure

loved everything about it. Being able to remotely turn on the hot tub would be nice, but once you know the timing it's easy enough to plan around.

Lovely place to stay with amazing views over the estuary to the mountains opposite. Convenient place to be based for trips to Geosea and the Diamond Circle. It was about -5 when we were there and the cabin was very warm. We found that the hot pot didn't get warm enough to use.

We pretty much enjoyed our stay. From the rooms, terrace and hot pot you have view to the sea/fjord with marvellous sunsets, cruise-ships passing by etc. Good technical equipment including dish washer, internet-PC. Perfect wifi. Good base camp for activities around Akureyi, Husavik and (with 90 minutes drive) also in the Myvatn region.

Beautiful views of the fjord, but the hot tub is very slow filling and full of debris. No washer/dryer, but other amenities were fine. Definitely best for small groups with less than three adults.

Very comfortable, only difficulty was in using the hot tub. It was extremely heavy to lift up the covers and we only managed it once with help. The view was gorgeous.

My husband and I stayed at this house in January. The fjord was beautiful and surrounded by snow. The outdoor hot tub was the perfect place to relax in the evenings. Akureyri was close enough to drive, but far enough to provide a rural environment. This is a beautiful place to stay. There were several other houses on the property, so it would be a good place for a group.

This holiday house has incredible views over Eyjafjordur. We were very lucky to arrive in sunshine and spent hours taking it all in. The only sound was from the whooper swans on the seashore below. We were also fortunate to see 2 whales from the living room window! The house is really well equipped and warm. It was more spacious than we imagined from the photos online. It was an easy property to drive to and the road was paved all the way. We really enjoyed horse riding at Polarhestar, which was less than 10 minutes drive.

The views from this beautiful bungalow will just captivate you! We found ourselves hanging out just enjoying this quiet, peaceful place. The bungalow was just perfect for our stay. Beds were very comfortable and clean. All the amenities you need to cook, eat, and bath were made available. The location of this little dreamcatcher was just perfect from whale watching tours, fishing, kayaking, shopping, dining, and horseback riding!! You can just relax and watch the boats come in! We will be back! Thank you for such a beautiful, comfortable stay, Minnesota - USA

We chose this spot to close out our 2 weeks trip to the Westfjords and Northern Iceland looking for a remote, but not too remote place with a hotpot. The place shiwes to be exactly as described (which is perfect in this case), well equipped, classic clean design, glass fronts to enjoy the amazing fjord view, and an easy step by step instruction on how to set up the Hotpot. Filling it takes some time, so no impromptu soaking, but getting it started while preparing dinner is sufficient. Communication was clear and comprehensive, all necessary information incl advice for trips in the area was shared upfront. This place is really wonderful, we will comeback an bring our kids next time.

We had one of our best holidays ever at Nollur Summer House. The house is splendid (the hotpot!), as are the surroundings. We drove up both sides of the fjord and the views are amazing. We also drove east and visited the waterfall Godafoss, the Myvatn lake and its surroundings, the Jardbodin nature baths, Europe's biggest waterfall Dettifoss and Husavik (whale watching). Akureyri is very close and there is ample shopping opportunity. In june traffic was almost non-existent and on top of that the weather was bright and sunny. Give our regards to Gaston, the automatic lawn mower. Krist & Kris Debruyn-Somers, Averbode, Belgium

First, a little advice - if you are thinking of staying here, stop thinking and book your stay. This was, hands down, the best vacation home we have experienced. It starts with the location steps from the fjord. Stunning views in every direction. Add to that being on a working sheep farm during lambing season made it that much more unique. The place is comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. The distance from Akureyri was far enough away that we felt away from the business of a town, but close enough to venture in when we wanted. It was a perfect location from which to launch our day trips. We caught a glimpse of the northern lights while we were there (a rarity this late in the season), and on our last day a whale frolicking not far from the house (Insider Tip: Keep and eye out for the whale watch cruises as they pass the house. If they slow or stop, whales are sure to be nearby.) Thomas, Carmen, Ana-Bara, et al, were incredibly helpful and great with communication. We feel lucky to have experienced this part of Iceland with this as our home base, and we have plans to return here for a future visit.
