"Unbeatable Convenience & Spacious Rooms, But Room for Process Improveme I stayed at the Tirana Airport Hotel, and the standout feature is hands-down the convenience factor. You literally walk right out of the airport terminal, stroll straight through the taxi stand, and the hotel is right there—zero need to arrange or pay for a cab after a flight. A few details to note from my stay: Location & Walkability: Perfect for travelers needing proximity. It could not be easier to reach on foot right after landing. Check-in Experience: We experienced a delay during check-in because crew members (pilots/flight attendants) were given priority over guests who were already waiting in line. While I completely understand and respect professional courtesy for flight crews, this wasn't explained to us at the time, which led to some initial confusion and frustration. Clear communication from the front desk here would go a long way. The Room: I'm not sure if there are newer vs. older wings, but our room felt relatively bland in terms of style and decor. That said, it was extremely comfortable and massive—more than accommodating enough for the four of us to stay comfortably. Breakfast: The morning breakfast spread was great—traditional options, incredible fresh juices, and classic cafe selections to start the day. Overall, it offers decent value for what you pay, purely driven by the top-tier location and sheer space. I would stay here again for a layover or quick airport transition!"

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Although it's located in a slightly run-down area, the hotel itself was spotless, well-maintained, and very welcoming. We were in Albania for a few days and really enjoyed our stay here. They also have underground parking so ideal for travellers who hire a car! I would definitely recommend it!"

"I had a wonderful stay at Meliá Durrës. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless, and the cleanliness across the whole resort was outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the pools were beautiful and well maintained. The beach was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, the food fell short of the rest of the experience and didn't quite match the high standards set elsewhere in the resort. A few improvements in the dining options would make this a truly five-star stay."

"We made the horrible mistake of forgetting our passport at the hotel and thankfully the staff quickly recovered it from the room and headed off to a trusted taxi company ( nova taxi) which then delivered to the airport in time for departure. Thank you Sol Tropikal staff"
