Welcome to Hay Bay: A Hidden Gem on the Northern Bruce Peninsula

Tucked into one of the most sought-after corners of Ontario’s Bruce Peninsula, Hay Bay offers a rare blend of seclusion, natural beauty, and easy access to iconic attractions. Surrounded by calm inland waters, lush forest, and the dramatic shorelines of Georgian Bay, this quiet retreat is just minutes from Tobermory—yet feels blissfully removed from everyday life.

Nestled within a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve, Hay Bay is a peaceful escape defined by pristine landscapes and unspoiled wilderness. Paddle across glassy waters at sunrise, listen for loons at dusk, or simply relax and take in the stillness. With Lake Huron to the west and Georgian Bay to the east, the peninsula delivers striking variety—from crystal-clear water and rugged cliffs to hidden beaches.

Nearby Bruce Peninsula National Park offers unforgettable hiking, lookouts, and natural wonders like the Grotto and the Bruce Trail. Fathom Five National Marine Park invites exploration above and below the water—kayak, dive, or take a glass-bottom boat to historic shipwrecks and the famous Flowerpot Island.

A short drive north, Tobermory’s harbour comes alive with boutique shops, local artisans, and beloved eateries. Enjoy fresh whitefish by the water, a classic fish fry, or a craft beer overlooking Big Tub Harbour.

From vibrant fall colours and quiet winter snowscapes to spring wildflowers and golden summer evenings, Hay Bay is a destination for all seasons—each offering its own magic.

Thanks to its west-facing setting, Hay Bay delivers some of the peninsula’s most breathtaking sunsets. From dockside views to peaceful shoreline lookouts, evenings here are unforgettable.

Private, serene, and perfectly located at the end of Pedwell Point Drive, Hay Bay offers the ideal balance of peaceful retreat and adventure-ready access—an exceptional escape on the Bruce Peninsula.

My family and friends were blown away by this beautiful, spacious home. The backyard and private water access were breathtaking, and the house had all the basic things needed...from a stocked kitchen of cooking necessities, to life vests, bug sprays, laundry, and other thoughtful essentials needed to make our stay comfortable. It's quite clear the owner paid close attention to details. Also, Its location near the Harbour was perfect, and the staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating. We would definitely rebook and highly recommend!!!!
