The best hotel of its type I have ever stayed in. Clean, updated, fresh, great breakfast buffet. The room the common area the fitness center all were impressive
We had to wait to check as no one was at the front desk. We rang the bell twice. The individual smelled heavily of cigarette of smoke when he finally arrived at the desk to check us in.
Very clean, loved the the underground parking. Only problem I had was the tv would not turn off, it would only go to a gray screen and that was annoying. Also it would not switch to the HDMI it as like the remote to the tv only half of the function worked.
We enjoyed our stay from the room to the restaurant (including beautiful deck overlooking river) and indoor pool. All had pleasant decor and was clean. (Except for in shower needed some bleach on some black mold on edges/caulk—but not bad). The beds have comfortable white bedding.
The front desk gentleman who checked us in was very kind and helpful with a professional manner.
Would definitely return!
Perfect place to stay with access to Carleton College and Northfield. Comfortable beds, great location in the Cannon River. Hope to use the hot tub next time!
Good location. Nice enough facilities.
They charge $30 a night for change or cancel privileges on top of a medium high room rate. This does not seem right.
The customer service is poor. We arrived late and have to wait for the lobby door to be open.
Also there is no greeting and no patience to answer questions.

The friendliness of the staff. Very spacious and clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable.Convenient place to stay. Continental breakfast was excellent.

With Archer House gone, the Fairfield is probably the best bet in Northfield. Front desk staff is lovely and helpful, but our sheets had a big stain on it... that's a little off purring.
