"What a wonderful and charming place to stay with everything within walking distance like sightseeing places, boat tours, cafes and restaurants

"Very cute hotel, the rooms are very Brazilian; simple and clean. Beds were comfortable, very cute to have the option to having air conditioning or natural air with the doors. The hotel staff are wonderful, very limited English, was fine for me I can speak Portuguese but others may have difficulty without google translate. The lounge/pool area is very cute and the cocktails are great. The traditional Brazilian breakfast was great. Very close to the historic district (two blocks walk) and I would...
"DO NOT STAY HERE unless you 1) like being bitten by insects / sleeping in insect repellent, 2) have unlimited data on your mobile phone, 3) have a deep love of cats and/or 4) have a complete disregard of your own health and safety.
I've written a more thorough review on Google but a special mention to Hotels.com/Expedia for quickly refunding me for this nightmare after providing photographic evidence.
Not one member of staff speaks English or understands the concept of Google translate,...
"Pousada com jardim lindo, bem cuidado, mas estava sem energia elétrica do início ao fim da nossa estadia. Nossa bebê teve dificuldade para se alimentar, tomar banho e dormir no escuro. Creio que o problema era na cidade mas é um problema recorrente em Paraty, por isso não faz sentido uma pousada sem gerador."
"Very comfortable stay with some minor issues which were promptly resolved by the management. Cafeteria lady made fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast. Short walk from the bus terminal is a huge plus. You can easily walk to the historical city center as well where a number of restaurants are located. Customer service is excellent. I would book without hesitation again if I am in Paraty."

"Amazing breakfast and Very helpful staff! The hotel is clean as well, the sheets smell so good! I loved the smell so much, very cozy place. The location is easy too
close to downtown paraty and the bus terminal I recommend it "
"What an amazing place! So cute, the private courtyard area keeps it quiet, but it is only a short walk to the historic center. The staff is friendly (even though I don't speak Portuguese!), the wifi is pretty fast, and breakfast is excellent. I spend 4 days here and I wish it was longer!"

"Stayed in a double room which was located on the first floor with a view of the pool. Good size room however the bathroom was a squeeze to use and no air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable.
Staff were very nice and friendly explaining everything on check in and giving details of the town on a map.
Didn't use the pool but it was a lot smaller than the photos.
Good location to explore the town and a nice bar over the road.
