"Such a lovely property--the balcony is so relaxing. Rooms are wonderfully appointed and enjoyed our conversations with the owner. He was so helpful and interesting to chat with. This is truly a place to relax and enjoy in the small town of Kostanjevica na Krki. We had a wonderful stay! A gem in southeastern Slovenia--both Vila Castanea and the town."

"We stayed one night as a couple but there is heaps of room for a large family. The house was beautifully cool on a very hot day. There is a small thermal swimming pool just across the road where locals gather. If you’re a cyclist, it’s right on the Green Wellness route. All in all a very relaxing stay."

"Staying in a castle is a bucket list item. The staff went out of their way to make certain everything was perfect. We had an event in one of the meeting rooms where 20 relatives got together and talked of "family". The charcuterie and fruit trays were superb. Everyone had an enjoyable get together. I deeply thank each and every member of the staff."
