Halcyon House - Metung

Halcyon is a 3 bedroom house on acreage in Nungurner that has an expansive garden and lawns. Ideal for a family wishing a peaceful retreat just a short 10 minute drive to Metung Village.
A beautiful house set in the country. It has its own dam (not for swimming). There are 3 large bedrooms with 2 en-suites. An electric BBQ is on the verandah. There are multiple smart TVs, Wi-Fi and a small selection of games provided.
The house water is delivered from the outside tank. This water does not contain fluoride etc like city water. If unsure, bring bottled water to drink or boil the water supplied. It was recently checked for impurities but came back clear.
There is plenty of room for children to play inside if the weather is inclement.
This is a farm fenced property (not fully secure) and does have a small dam within the grounds.
Please note tank water is in use.

The property had significant maintenance issues that affected the quality of the stay. The tap water was consistently discolored with a bright orange/rusty tint. It was not suitable for basic hygiene, such as brushing teeth. The bathtub also showed heavy rust sediment when filled. In addition, the facility maintenance was poor. One of the showers had no water pressure, making it unusable. Some kitchen equipment, specifically the kettle, was not in clean condition. Communication regarding check-in was delayed, leading to unnecessary stress. I hope the property addresses these hygiene and maintenance concerns.
