In the summer you can snorkel or dive onPūpūkea Beach or just relax under the sun on the beaches of the North Shore, anideal place for picnics and spectacular sunsets.

Head to the east coast and you'll find more idyllicbeaches, great for people looking for a little peace and quiet away from thecrowds. The waves around here are a little calmer, and the area of Kailua is great for windsurfing and kite surfing. At the nearby Kane'ohe you findpeace and quiet in the botanical garden. From Makapu'u Beach you’ll have amagnificent view over the coastline, stroll to vantage points above the activelighthouse and see if you can spot the gigantic whales out at sea.

If surfing isn’t really your thing then there areplenty of other ways to enjoy the sea rent kayaks or paddle boards or simplyentertain yourself in calmer waters with a little swim. There’s plenty to do ondry land too. Go mountain biking, horseback riding or hike the trails throughthe jungle to the lookouts with spectacular views. Play a round of golf at oneof the island’s golf courses or shop in the chic boutiques or outlet stores.

Fly into Oahu viaHonolulu International Airport. The best way to explore the island is by rentalcar, which gives you the freedom to see what you want, when you want. However,there is a public transport network too, which can take you to all the popularspots on the island.

"Great location, walking distance to the beach. I really liked the layout of the room but the beds were not as comfortable and seemed a bit out dated.
