Perfect for our family.

Great Location, House Needs Work

We had 4 families traveling from out of state, all with several babies each, planning to arrive at the check in time of 4pm. We were notified at 3:30 that the cleaners were running late and would be finished by 4:30. We arrived at 4, and no one had even started cleaning. After notifying property management, they advised at 4:30 that the cleaners were on the way and would take 1-1/2 hours to finish up. Quite inconvenient with all the kiddos and a long days travel. (The cleaners were great - the issue was with the property management communication and lack of utilizing additional resources). The downstairs ground level is very moldy due to no exhaust fans. It felt grimy all week. Another issue was one of the better rooms downstairs had about a 4’x3’ hole in the ceiling, which wasn’t repaired until 2 days into our stay. Property management was notified when we checked in, however, I was told I should focus on the memories we were going to make and not the hole in the ceiling. The bathrooms also all need to be updated. We loved Oak Island, the family quality time and the location of the house - just unsatisfied with the cleanliness of this house. We spent 90% of our time at the small table on the deck because no one wanted to be inside! Thank goodness for a beautiful weather week! We already booked a different house for next year right down the street, but with a separate PM company.

Best Beach Stay Yet!

This house is located a few steps from the ocean and within view of the waterway. With 7 bedrooms + a sunroom bed, and ample room sizes, my two grown children's families and I were never cramped. Kitchen is dated, small and needs updating, but we sat everyone together for meals. We agreed that of the 10+ years of beach vacations, this was our best overall experience!
