Sea Salt Haven is the kind of place we'd choose for our own family vacation. We love the quiet street, the easy bike rides and LSV trips to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants, and ending the day in the screened hot tub or gathered together beneath the house. Every update we've made was chosen to help guests relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything Oak Island has to offer.

Included with your stay is our six-seat, street-legal LSV with beach parking permit. Unwind in the private screened hot tub, protected from the weather and bugs. Dine under timed string lights, relax beneath the covered decks or cozy up by the indoor gas fireplace.

Bikes, beach gear, games, Wi-Fi, central air, TVs and ceiling fans in every room, plus a well-stocked kitchen and linens, make settling in easy.

Although self check-in, we will be available if you have questions. We're low key and during your stay we assume guests are having a great time when we don’t hear from them - giving you the space to settle in and relax! If you need us, just message in the app. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us whenever the need arises.

Guests will enjoy easy self check-in with our smart lock. A unique door code will be provided on the day of check-in for convenient access.

A welcome guidebook is also provided at the home with helpful details about WiFi, The Binz golf cart, the hot tub, beach access, local tips, house instructions, and everything you need to settle in and enjoy your visit.



Sea Salt Haven is centrally located in a peaceful Oak Island neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a relaxed coastal feel, and no through traffic. The home is less than a mile from both the ocean and nearby groceries, shops, coffee, ice cream, and dining.

At the end of our short street, you’ll find sidewalk access along the main road, making it easy to explore without crossing it. Turn left to reach the picturesque SE 31st Street walkover bridge, one of our favorite routes for biking, walking, or a morning jog toward the beach, with beautiful photo opportunities for capturing Oak Island memories. SE 40th Street, just six streets away, offers beach access for The Binz and another convenient walking and biking route.

Guests can cruise around most of Oak Island in The Binz, ride the bikes, take a morning jog, or enjoy a relaxed walk. The Binz may not be driven on roads with speed limits above 35 mph. A car is needed for exploring nearby towns. Please see the route map in the Sea Salt Haven Guidebook at the house.

Guests have access to the entire Sea Salt Haven property and are welcome to enjoy the indoor spaces, outdoor areas, beach gear, bikes, hot tub, outdoor shower, grill area, yard games, and all guest amenities provided during their stay.

The only off-limit areas are locked owner storage spaces. This includes the locked owner’s storage room under the house and the locked owner’s bin in the walk-in closet. These areas remain locked at all times and are not available for guest use.

LIVING ROOM: Our living room offers ample comfortable family seating, coastal touches, and an easy place to gather after a beach day. Guests can enjoy a full couch, two accent chairs by the window, an additional chair near the gas fireplace, a 55" Fire Stick TV with streaming channels, and a ceiling fan with remote. Board games are available in the bunk room for family nights.

KITCHEN: The large well-stocked kitchen is set up for morning coffee, simple meals, family dinners, and grilling nights.

You will also find grilling tools, bar tools, martini glasses, wine glasses, kid-friendly plastic bowls and cups, a convection oven, toaster, blender, and large crab pot.

DINING AREAS: The dining area in the large kitchen seats up to 7 guests with table and bench seating. It is a comfortable spot for family meals, game nights, planning beach days, or enjoying relaxed dinners at home.

PRIMARY BEDROOM: The primary bedroom includes a memory foam king bed, room-darkening curtains, soft coastal touches, a 43" Roku TV, remote-controlled ceiling fan/light, luggage racks, full-length mirror, dresser, nightstands, and bedside charging cords.

An additional remote-controlled fan is available for extra comfort.

This room also includes a dedicated workspace with desk, swivel chair, high-speed WiFi, and WiFi copier/printer for remote work, school, or quick printing needs.

The walk-in closet is available for guest use. The locked owner’s bin inside the closet is not available for guest use.

QUEEN BEDROOM: The queen bedroom offers a calm place to recharge with a memory foam queen bed, room-darkening curtains, remote-controlled ceiling fan, 40" swivel Google TV, dresser, large mirror, nightstands, luggage racks, closet, and hangers.

Color-changing wall sconces provide a relaxing evening ambiance.

BUNK ROOM: The bunk room has a fun nautical feel and includes a twin XL over queen bunk bed, memory foam mattresses, 40" Roku TV, ceiling fan, room-darkening curtains, closet, hangers, and board games for family fun. A Pack ’n Play is available for your convenience.

BATHROOMS: The home includes two full bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combination. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, hair dryers, and extra toiletry touches are provided to make packing easier.

LAUNDRY ROOM: The laundry room includes a washer and dryer, laundry detergent, beach towels, hot tub towels, iron, ironing board, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a guest charging station with assorted cords.

Basic cleaning supplies are available if needed during your stay.

BACK SCREENED IN PORCH: The screened porch is a favorite place to relax with comfortable seating, a ceiling fan, timed warm string lights, soft evening air, and the distant sound of waves at night. Curl up on the couch with a good book, or visit with a glass of wine on the swivel chairs.

FRONT PORCH: The front porch is a peaceful spot for morning coffee, quiet conversation, or easing into the day before heading to the beach. String lights on a timer add a warm evening glow, while cushioned rocking chairs invite you to slow down and relax.

COVERED OUTDOOR HANGOUT AREA: Beneath the home, guests can enjoy a shaded space for dining, relaxing, and playing games. Timed string lights create a warm evening feel and make this a favorite gathering spot for meals, games, and conversation.

HOT TUB AREA: The private screened hot tub area includes a four-person hot tub, perfect for unwinding after beach days, bike rides, or evenings out on Oak Island. String lights add a relaxing nighttime atmosphere.

OUTDOOR SHOWER: The outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off after the beach or before using the hot tub with provided soap. A nearby clothesline makes drying towels and swimsuits convenient.

GRILL AREA: Just steps from the kitchen, the Weber Spirit grill and nearby bar seating make outdoor dinners easy.

GARAGE: The garage is not available for guest parking, but contains “The Binz,” our six-seat street-legal LSV golf cart, along with bikes, beach chairs, beach wagon, umbrella, and other guest beach items.

Oak Island is best reached by car. Guests will need a personal vehicle, rental car, rideshare, or other transportation to get to the island and around the surrounding area. The closest major airport is Wilmington International Airport, also known as ILM, in Wilmington, NC.

Once at Sea Salt Haven, guests can enjoy getting around Oak Island by The Binz golf cart, bikes, walking, or driving. The home is close to beach access, groceries, dining, coffee, ice cream, and local shops.

Southport Trolley may offer seasonal or local trolley service between Southport and Oak Island. Guests interested in using the trolley should check current routes, pickup options, pricing, and hours directly with Southport Trolley before making plans.

*“The Binz” is our six-seat, street-legal LSV golf cart, available for registered guests only. The Binz is registered with the Town of Oak Island and includes a beach parking permit, making it easy to reach the beach less than 1 mile away, nearby shops, restaurants and other island favorites. Drivers must be at least 23 years old with a valid license, and a signed waiver is required before driving.

INSIDE: Sea Salt Haven has a calm coastal feel with comfortable bedding, memory foam mattresses, ceiling fans, streaming TVs, board games and space to gather without feeling crowded. Guests may enjoy the indoor gas fireplace year-round.

OUTSIDE: Enjoy morning coffee on the front porch, dinner and games under the house, bar stools by the grill, a rinse in the outdoor shower after the beach and quiet evenings on the screened porch listening for the waves.

Sea Salt Haven is close to both the scenic 31st Street walkover and the 40th Street beach access, giving guests easy options for beach days, bike rides and golf cart outings.
