Birthday Surprise
Surprised our mom with a beachfront view for her birthday. She loved it and we all had a wonderful time!! Check-in was super easy and the home was exactly as described. It was a perfect fit for our family. Loved having easy access to the beach and the views were amazing!!

Wish we could have stayed longer...
5 teachers came down for the weekend. It was cold and rainy most of the time but we didn't care. The views of the ocean were easily enjoyed on the couches with coffee or cocktails, music, puzzles, and books. The view is incredible. Cozy and divey beach town. We loved it.

Winter Girls trip
We enjoyed a winter girls trip with four ladies. Overall the property was nice. The location was great and the views and deck were fantastic. The deck was very recently built/updated and was nice!! The living room furniture is different than the pictures and pillows and such were very worn out.(but useable!) We paid for the sheets and towels, and were given a good number of towels for four people. The sheets were terrible, unfortunately. They were very very thin with lots of pilling and worn out. (I saw other reviewers had complained about this) Recommend bringing your own. Kitchen gadgets are very worn out. Can opener is not really usable and would recommend bringing your own. Overall cleanliness was ok. Shower curtain was moldy and bathroom rugs needed washing. Bring your own hairdryer as there isn’t one on property. Overall, this was a decent stay, and would be a really great stay with a few updates or improvements. Nothing that will stop you from having fun and enjoying the beach.

December is a great time to go to the beach!
Shore is Beautiful was truly the perfect spot for our week long family vacation! Sunrises and sunsets were glorious! The house had ample space for all 8 of us and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a slight glitch when we arrived, but that was soon taken care of as was a toilet in need of repair on another day. The sliding glass door needs high-powered elbow grease to get it open and shut. Over-all Shore is Beautiful was a good choice!

The views were amazing and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed to cook. There was also plenty of beach gear to use. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed spending the evenings on the deck listening to the ocean.

Gorgeous oceanfront home!
This house is located right on the ocean with gorgeous views, open layout and everything you need for an awesome stay! The kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy and it's located in the middle of the beach front strand. The hosts were very accomodating and communication was great! Would highly recommend - we really enjoyed our stay!

Great location and view!
I visited Oak Island for the first time with a group of ladies and we had a great time at this newly renovated beachhouse. We had a great time taking sunrise walks and jumping waves in the beach all day. The beds were so comfortable I missed the sunrise but the susnset was beautiful and the skies were so clear you could stay on the deck and stargaze at night. We had everything we needed to have a great time and those that watch TV had all of the streaming options they liked. This location has great access to beach and close to the local grocery stores/restaurants. If you visit please be respectful of this property because it is now my sevond home and I will be back! Thanks for the relaxing fun time!

Cozy Cottage
The location of the cottage was great with wonderful views of the ocean. The deck had recently been replaced. I was initially leery of having the beach access adjacent to the property, but had no issues what’s so ever. The cottage was bigger than it appeared on the outside. Having said that, I personally felt the bathroom attached to one of the bedrooms was very small. Not a big deal, just know ahead of time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property.

Perfect beach get-a-way
My mother wanted to do something to celebrate my oldest child graduating high school and turning 18. So my child brought their best friend and I brought my sister and the 5 of us had a BLAST! The location is perfection. The fact that there is a hose under the house, beach chairs and toys in the storage locker under the house and every room has a view of the ocean made it the best place to reconnect as a family and watch the waves. The beds are comfortable, though the upstairs did get hot during the day. All in all, a great place with plenty of space and light. We will definitely come back. The host was extremely responsive! The dishwasher broke while we were there and someone came over the next morning to wash the dishes while we were at the beach. They definitely go above and beyond for their guests.

Great Location!
My wife and I couldn't have found a nicer spot than this one. This property has a great cottage feel to it and has a fantastic location! We plan to be back again! Our only recommendation is that the owners should invest in a nicer sheet set for their main bedroom king bed. We found the set a little worn out and too small for the mattress. That however, did not deter us from having a great time and we would highly recommend this property to others!

I would HIGHLy recommended anyone staying here.
We will definitely be back. They house was so clean and everything we needed was at the house. The owners we had to communicate with were wonderful and any questions we had were answered very quickly. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. We were able to find so many shells that were still together and it made our trip even better. We will be back for sure.

This place's location is great. It has beach access on one side which makes the nearest house a good bit away. The home looks great, just like the pictures but with even more updates. The hosts were very responsive and the checking in and out were very easy. The kitchen has every appliance and cookware you could need! This was a great place to spend Thanksgiving with the family!

Great few days on Oak Island
Have to start with the view. That was the main thing for us on this quick trip. Right off the deck, over the dune and you are on the beach. The house had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We had a great time and plan on coming back.

Nice house on the beach
There were some bumps along the way that were out of the control of the host but he was quick to correct and compensate for any expenses incurred. The house is as advertised and the views from the deck were remarkable. Not a lot of things to do on Oak Island other than the beach

We enjoyed our stay!! I will say that this is a very small house for 10 people. Not enough seating at table. Main bathroom was shared by 8 people… just a bit tight. Having said that, we really loved the location and beach access was great. Thanks for sharing your beach property with us!!!

We enjoyed our stay. We did encounter some minor inconveniences but the owners were very responsive and quick to address our concerns. It was a quiet and relaxing area but also close enough to places of interest.

Location is awesome! House was fine. If you have 12 and need room and space inside to relax, this isn't a good fit. We had a 14 month old and 4 year old and it was difficult with naps and sleeping due to the limited space. No quiet areas. Property owners were very responsive. Bathrooms could be issue if you're not comfortable showering outside. 5-6 of us used o/s showers. I would rent again with smaller group.

House was in a great location but it really only has one bathroom. There is a bathroom in the room with the queen but it’s very small. Prime location would like to have more bathroom space. Now here is the kicker. Owner has claimed we damaged his table and a bowl. We did not damage anything. We treated that house like it was our house! He claims we damaged a storm door handle and left a messy toilet. They want to charge us for these items. Beware of renting from them because we did not damage anything and did not leave a mess! In fact I cleaned the sand up before we left and washed the towels we used ! I’d think twice about renting from them. I’ve used VRBO numerous times and have never had an issue.

We belabored if we should put in a claim; but, we have multiple pictures from our clean team from this groups check out day that document what was found. We never ever want to cause our guests pain and, aside from this one, we have only had to make one other claim on a damage deposit in our entire time sharing / renting our home. Great trip and stay with just some minor inconveniences
Overall the stay was great. The location was perfect and the space was perfect, I just wish that a bit more was provided and was more baby friendly. It def was great for most of our kids but my sister in law had a 13 month old and there were no pack and plays no baby gate for the stairs or anything. With that said they just bought them and left it so the house should have it now. Also I think the basics should be provided such as hand soap in the bathroom or small shampoos and conditioners or trash bags.. but the location and memories made out weigh the inconveniences.

Easter Weekend Getaway
Check-in and out was a breeze. Beach access right next to the house is very nice for taking a break from the sun or bathroom breaks with the kids. Such a treat to watch the sunrise on the deck with a cup of coffee. One of the cleanest vacation rentals we've ever been to. We will be back…thank you!
