Claremont Resort & Club
10/10 Excellent
"Hannah and the concierge were amazing. I told them about the special occasion I was there for - a Bob Dylan concert to celebrate my mom and dad’s 50th anniversary (and his passing a few months ago). They gave us a beautiful note and a bottle of Chandon. What a class act. It meant so much to feel heard and gave that special touch. Their food and drinks were also delicious. We had a gem salad with rotisserie chicken and lime drops (light on the simple syrup). For breakfast we split the bagel. Only a catch there, but they gave us crème freche instead of cream cheese and pickled onions instead of regular red onions. Note to room service: regular cream cheese goes on a bagel not crème freche and pickled onions go on tacos, not bagels. It’s a thing ;) Otherwise, stellar time and will be back. I loved how quiet the property was and the beds were super comfortable and fluffy, but not too soft. Thank you for a wonderful memory!!"

HYATT house Emeryville/San Francisco Bay Area
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms were nothing real fancy but they were clean and had coffee in the room. It was a great location for us as we were boarding the Amtrack in the morning. You go through their parking lot and cross over a walking bridge to get to the station. They have a great food court just down the road fro the hotel and a Trader Joe's 6 minute walk away. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. It had cereal, yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, pancakes, english muffins, bagels and toast. I highly recommend especially if you need a hotel before or after an Amtrak ride."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oakland - Hayward
4/10 Poor
"This is second time I’ve stayed At this, La Quinta and the TV wasn’t receiving a signal so both times my husband had to handle it to make it work. Next the accessible bathroom, shower Head was supposed to be adjustable, but it was broken and difficult to use especially when you are cane dependent the water sprayed all over in place and was not draining so the bathroom floor was covered with water which we had to clean up with towels. When we got ready to leave and report it to the desk, House Keeping had already put towels outside the door because the water was flooding the hallway. The situation is very dangerous for someone who has ability issues like myself. I reported it to the desk person and they said not to worry they would take care of it. When I got back to the room later on, the mess was clear and cleaned up , but the showerhead was still broken. This force me to have to shower again, having difficulty positioning at so I could wash myself and dangerous because of the wet floor. The good news is it did not flood the place."
