Nice place to stay at DCL

The home is nice and it’s nice that they provide sheets and towels, however the home is in rough shape. Lack of maintenance shows throughout. The wood trim throughout the exterior is cracking, the steps into the home are cracked, the screened in porch has ripped screens and leaks when it rains, etc. If you don’t care about that and are just looking for a clean place to stay while being within 10 minutes to the lake, it’s great!

Terrific views

We all had a terrific time at this property. Lots of room to spread out, but also cozy. Huge fenced in yard, great for dogs. A bit of trouble figuring out how to stream on the TV, but we got it eventually. Would rent again.

Certainly will stay here again

This is really a great property. I was originally concerned that the house was going to be small, but the layout is terrific and it has more room than I anticipated. The fenced-in yard was a huge plus! We did not want to leave. If I had one critique, it would be that the pots and pans could use replacement. Obviously, lots of use by other happy families/groups I'm sure.

Lovely getaway

We chose this property because we needed a change of scenery during this Covid craziness. The pros of the property: fenced in yard for our dog; house was pretty clean upon arrival; plenty of room for us to spread out (2 teens, 2 parents and our pooch); loved the hot tub; lots of games on-hand. The cons: couldn't use the screened in porch because it was filled with flies and even when we left the door open to try and get them out, they wouldn't leave; conflicting info about wifi posted at the house and in an email (finally figured it out -- but not without having to struggle through calling the rental agency); broken plastic lawn furniture so not all 4 of us could sit outside at once. Also, the hot tub maintenance guy just showed up without notice -- DID NOT appreciate that. And the front light did not work consistently. No, we did not call (forgot to since we only remembered that at night). Overall we loved the property and would rent again because of the fence, hot tub and cleanliness -- as long as we knew the flies were gone and lawn furniture was available.

Beautiful Neighborhood. Great views.

Worked out great for me and my family. I think the property could use a little TLC. Front gate and yard gate are both in dis-repair. No chairs on the deck? Deck is big and has great views but nothing to sit on? Thought that was odd. Yard was great for the dogs, neighborhood is very nice.

Post-season stay in Deep Creek

Well appointed home with lots of space and fun activities. Loved the fenced in yard as we brought our pet along. Deep Creek after Labor Day is a little less crowded and the weather cooperated.

There was some minor wear and tear to a few parts of the home which is to be expected with a rental property but overall the home was clean and comfortable. The fenced in yard was a wonderful bonus.

However the screened in porch was overrun with bees and flies. So much so we couldn't even be in there. There were also dead flies laying all over the house. On the counters, the floors, our "clean" towels and you don't even want to know what the window sills looked like. Also only giving 3 stars because the water coming out of the dishwasher made the dishes even dirtier after running it through. Brown with pieces of debris through out it. I think this place could be great if they could fix these few things. Everything else was wonderful.

Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for a dog, fenced in yard and deck is perfect. The games in the basement was perfect for kids. This house is not for a winter stay, basement was freezing. (plus we had very mild weather this weekend, temps stayed in the 30's). Heat didn't seem to work in the basement, it never warmed up so the bonus room and bathroom did not get used as needed and as planned. Plus we couldn’t use the downstairs TV, it was just way too cold. Felt the pictures on the website were inaccurate. Kitchen table area very small and almost impossible to use the bar stools while using the table. Drip pans for stove did not fit that stove, therefore our pots and pans would slide off the burners and would sit on a slant, making it a challenge to use.
