The historic MEIXNER House, dating back to the 16th century, has been completely renovated and expanded in a very open, spacious design in the modern Tyrolean style, with great attention to detail. The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting. The exposed roof trusses give this extraordinary STUDIO APARTMENT with a LOFT-STYLE character its very special touch—a sense of spaciousness thanks to the high ceilings. The oversized bathroom enchants with its panoramic windows, walk-in shower with overhead showerhead, and a bathtub for TWO built into the original reclaimed wood, complete with a play of light. The wood-burning stove in the living area provides cosiness and extra warmth. All in all, it’s a truly special place where you can feel completely at ease, no matter the season. Relax and enjoy. Find peace and quiet. The well-equipped U-shaped kitchen features two counter-style seating areas and has been seamlessly integrated into the open-concept layout of the room. Take in the beauty of the adjacent forest and enjoy long walks with breathtaking views of the Kaiser Mountains, the Kitzbühler Horn, and the Kitzbühel Alps. With a little luck and patience, you can spot deer from the window or balcony. Or even catch a glimpse of the “Bergdoktor” car driving around the corner for a film shoot… At night, from the MEIXNER Haus, you can see the lights of the “Mausefalle,” the “Starthaus,” the steep slope, and the “Seidlalm” on the STREIF. As your hosts, we’re happy to be there for you with warmth, advice, and assistance whenever you need us. We love Tyrol. Restaurants, cafés, various shopping options, and an outdoor pool are available down in the village of Oberndorf (within walking distance). Smoking is permitted on the balcony and in the garden—and please limit it to those areas; inside the house, the only “smoker” is our wood-burning stove.
