"A wonderful hotel. Best bed we've had in Portugal. Excellent breakfast. Just a cautionary note: our GPS led us 20 mi . away from the hotel. It is just outside the old city walls of Obidos, so make sure you are close to the town itself. Good street parking."

"The check in process took over 1 hour. Ridiculously slow. My check in alone took over 1/2 hour. The hotel is not easy to get to. There is no parking at the hotel. It is a bit of a walk up hill from the parking area."

"Fomos muito bem recepcionados. Tudo estava muito limpo e organizado. O café da manhã, uma delícia. Do nosso quarto conseguíamos enxergar a muralha da Vila, de onde íamos e víamos o tempo todo por ser muito perto. Precisamos tomar café mais cedo para virmos embora e os funcionários que estavam na recepção e na organização do café foram muito generosos, permitindo que nos servíssemos antes da hora. A quantidade imensa de livros espalhados pelo hotel dão um charme especial a ele."

"Staying right in the walled city of Obidos at the historic castle was a treat. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. It was really lovely to be within the walls to enjoy strolling around in the evening and early mornings before all of the day visitors arrived. Breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint was the air conditioning in our room was not working. The unit would run on fan only. When running on cool it would run for about 3 minutes and immediately shut off. When we reported the issue to staff they told us it was functioning as intended and that we just didn't understand how to use it. My husband is an electrical contractor so we are pretty sure we had a good handle on how a wall AC works. We decided not to ruin the stay by arguing since we had a work around. While it was very hot during the day, the evening was cool so we simply opened the windows and doors to get a cross breeze going. Other than that one issue we would definitely return and recommend this hotel to other travelers."

"Hotel Louro is within walking distance of old town Óbidos. There’s free parking in their own private lot and on street parking right in front of the hotel. Lovely backyard with views. Nice buffet breakfast."
