Peaceful Vacation Retreat

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home. In fact, this was our second stay. We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife in the yard which included bunnies, deer and eagles. The house has a huge backyard that is more like a park setting with abundant trees, ferns and flowers. The house itself is decorated so nicely and stocked with all of the essentials that one needs. For provisions, there is a great grocery store just a few minutes away. Overall, our stay was excellent.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage in Oysterville. The decor was absolutely darling. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our breakfasts and dinners. Everything was spotless. The house sits on a spacious tree-rimmed lot where lots of big brown bunnies kept us entertained. The host was so nice and welcoming. There were clear information on everything so we didn't need to contact the host during our 33 day stay Wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything you need in a vacation home, plus nearby ocean, a wildlife preserve and a historic town

This house was a wonderful place to stay for a month! Spacious yet cozy, light-filled, surrounded by trees, and with a kitchen equipped with everything you might need and then some. I loved the proximity to historic Oysterville (a short walk into town), to the ocean beach and to the trails at Leadbetter State Park (a short drive). Cape Disappointment State Park, with its two lighthouses and informative Visitors' Center, was a half-hour drive away, and I went there twice to hike the trails. Two major storms occurred during my stay, with high winds resulting in power outages on the peninsula, and the owners checked in with me both times to make sure all was well and that I had what I needed, which I very much appreciated. Communication with the owners was excellent, from the initial reservation to the eve of departure -- they responded promptly, answered all my questions, were very considerate. I was so comfortable in the house and so delighted with the location that I decided to stay an extra week!. A great place for a long or a short stay.
