Relaxing getaway
This was our second time staying at this property. Great location, very close to beach and Damon Point. Quiet neighborhood. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. If you stand outside on the deck at dusk, you'll likely hear a great horned owl calling. Also, lots of wildlife around the canal. We enjoyed our stay.

The home was clean, well stocked, and is an amazing location. Sitting at the water’s edge I watched ducks, birds fly by, and a few otters swimming by. The owner replied quickly and friendly to any questions. A perfect OS home.

Lovely Waterfront Cabin
The home looked exactly like the photos and was more than enough room for the two of us. We enjoyed watching the sunset, the ducks swimming in the canal, and more than anything the many deer visits made for a magical stay. We don’t see much of that back home in Hawai’i! The place was immaculate and the board game collection was a pleasant surprise. The home was also a very short drive from all the restaurants and such in town. Lovely place overall.

Slightly over-rated based 4.9 stars
A comfortable place to stay compared to a hotel if you have a dog. A very nice vantage overlooking the canal and a short distance to Point Brown beach. One bathroom is fine as long as you don't have more than 2 people. The beds were clean & comfortable. The furniture is lower quality & there are quite a few items in/around the home that are on the verge of breaking. No problem what-so-ever with the owner & the book they put together is very helpful. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for a few days, but this is definitely not for the most discriminating/high-end clients. I would rate the location on the canal @ 4.9 but the house is 2.9 so combined, I think 3.9 is a more reasonable rating.

Cozy beach house
Close to oyhut which had great shops and yummy food. Beds were not the comfiest but overall property was exactly what was portrayed. Super quiet and cozy. Lovely kitchen.

Want to keep this place a secret!
Great little cottage in a beautiful location. Loved the walk to the beach but really appreciated the quiet canal view. Well appointed kitchen, pretty little touches with the towels folded on the beds, and bright airy space. Will be booking again.

We rented the house thinking we could access the canal from the dock. There was no ladder to do so. We would rent again if there was kayak access because house was nice, location was excellent and it was perfectly quiet.

A simple but prefect getaway!
After spending a month in Europe with the kids this summer, and being on the go and busy, this was the perfect getaway for us! We loved fishing from the dock (we did catch and release) and being together. We did family meals, movie time, so much fishing (kids couldn't get enough!) and having a peaceful break from real life and the crowds. Our dog loved being here. She isn't a runner, so the non-fenced yard was ok for her. She loved being out of the dock and watching the kids fish. We saw 3 otters swim by; they stopped, popped their heads up for about 30 seconds to say hi before swimming away. Being on the canal is not like being at the beach; here you have a gentle breeze vs the wind at the beach. We preferred the breeze here! The canal changes direction based on the tides, which was fun to watch it come to a slow, be perfectly still and see the clouds reflect, and then start back up in the opposite direction. This was the perfect space for our family of 4!

Great time at the beach
We really enjoyed staying at this home on the canal. Short drive to the beach and there is a lake with a park just up the street. The house was exactly as pictured and was very comfortable. We had a fire in the fire pit and did a little fishing on the dock. We had deer come visit us in the yard, they are all over the town. We would definitely stay here again.

This spotless A-frame cottage was a fantastic choice for our family. It was close to everything worth doing in OC, and came with all the essentials. We had a blast putting together several puzzles and cooking together in the very well equipped kitchen.

Lovely little cottage on the canal!
Very cute cottage, updated appliances and clean. The view is really spectacular on the canal and the wildlife that come by. We had issues with the WiFi working, not a big deal for us, but if you go expecting reliable WiFi, you may be disappointed. There wasn’t an outside trash can which proved tricky with a 4 night stay and a seafood night. The cottage was stocked with many items, we were missing some necessary kitchen utensils and a stop at Dollar General solved that for us, but I wish I had just brought my own and not had to buy more. Overall we’d recommend it and likely stay again, it’s close enough to town and a short walk/drive to Damon Point.

Wonderful & comfortable house rental!
We loved our stay at this home! Its right on a canal, great view, privacy, and the house is stocked with everything you might need and a lot of stuff you might have forgotten to bring! Easy to use cable TV along with all the apps for Netflix, Prime etc! About 3 miles or so south of town, but easy drive back to all the restaurants, beaches etc! We loved it and will be back!!!

Relaxing time, chill’n @ the cozy cabin! We enjoyed our family time cooking breakfast, sipping coffee, putting puzzles together, watching movies & walking out to Damon Point. We were lucky and had nice weather for this time of year! We want to come back with a kayak to get out on the canal. We loved how quiet this area is, so peaceful and beautiful.

An Excellent way to relax
A lovely property with a spacious kitchen and a surprisingly comfy bed. This made a great "home base" from which we could set out to the beach and enjoy the cold (we're Winter-guests). Perfect for our needs.

This place was great. Easy check in process and everything you need is there. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and my kids really enjoyed the gaming system upstairs. All in all would definitely come back.

October bliss!
We booked our stay in August for mid October. We had no idea we would still have amazing weather in the middle of October. While most of the state of Washington was smoked out, Ocean Shores had pristine ocean air. The house is located on the Grand Canal and walking distance to the Ocean. The property’s windows let in lots of light and had all the amenities that we needed for a stay of almost a week. If you love wildlife get ready to be amazed as there are deer everywhere! Fawns, Does and rutting Bucks galore. The property is all that is to be desired. I read comments about a low toilet but it didn’t seem low at all. The master bed is very comfortable and as for the loft bed it’s great as well ( just not as comfortable as the master bed). We even had deer come into the yard and sit in the morning sun. It was a beautiful and peaceful stay. The communication with the owner is prompt, friendly and helpful. We brought our young child with us an as you can imagine we left behind and article of clothing. Jean reached out and sent us or missing jacket and when we received it, it came wrapped in a bow. She went above and beyond. You can tell Jean really wants her guests to be comfortable and feel at home while staying there. It’s even pet friendly so we brought our little old dog along on our family vacation. Great time, great space, can’t wait to go back!

This House is Like Going to the Zoo.
Great Location, Saw, Deer, Salmon and Carp, Trout and River Otter in Canal. Above us was about 100 Sparrows. and At Night Maybe A Bear? Saw droppings that looked like Bear Droppings? House Great, but Wifi Spotty at Times.

Very nice home with a nice deck. Tastefully decorated with the beach vibe. Has everything you would need for a relaxing time. Being right next to the canal with a nice little dock was an added bonus. Very close to the beach and town. Loved having the deer stopping by in the morning and late afternoon! Would highly recommend this home! Great communication with the owner. They made sure we had everything we needed and if we had any problems let them know. We didn’t have any issues! Would stay there again.

Paddlers dream
I love kayaking and being right on the canel was perfect. The neighbor was so nice and had a lower dock that he let us use to launch our kayaks from. I was able to walk to Dameon point too. I'm used to staying closer to town so it was great to see the other part of ocean shores and quieter too. There are deer everywhere. We didn't realize they are a bit of a pest so don't feed them!!! She had great TV and puzzles. All the basics we needed so we didn't have to eat out. Would have loved a vacume of any kind for the sand we dragged in and a lighter for the grill. The igniter did not seem to be working. I would stay here again.

We have stayed at a bunch of vrbo homes. This home was by far the cleanest kitchen that we have been in. No crumbs in the utensils drawer, no fingerprints on the toaster, even the syrup bottle has been cleaned. Amazing! They even pampered my pooches with dog treats in a container on the counter. Do not hesitate to rent!

Awesome Beach Property
Overall this was of excellent value! It was located right on one of the canals, close to town and the beach. Very clean and roomy. Everything worked great! They had all you needed including a W/D, firepit, wrap around deck, lawn chairs, games, excellent TV. If it had 2 bathrooms it would be a 10+++++. Thank you, we will definitely recommend this to anyone that heads over to Ocean Shores!
