Remote Worker? Retired? Storm Tracker? +Own Canal Dock

Our house is great but because we haven't listed it before we need your review! ;-) We are so confident that your review will be great, we are offering a 20% Discount to first three renters. Read on, we know you'd love our place.
Canal House is right on the Grand Canal with 60' of waterfront and your own private dock. Ready for your kayak, or canoe. We are just a 1/2 mile from the beach. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is designed for easy living with an outdoor picnic table, lots of yard and indoor games, and plenty of space for relaxing in your chase lounge or hammock It is bright and airy and completely remodeled including new appliances, floors and carpeting in the bedrooms. 3 internet connected flat screen TV's with high-speed streaming. Festivals are going on throughout the year. Bring your kite to the beach or dig for clams (in season). Want to do a little gambling? We have a casino just outside the entrance to Ocean Shores. Lots of shops and restaurants including go-carts, electric bikes for rent on the beach, horseback riding on the beach, and souvenir hunting or looking for a great find at one of the many second-hand shops. Ocean Shores is very much a place to relax but you do need a car as the peninsula is 2 by 6 miles. Nearby are Oyhut Village, Damon Point Beaches, Quinault Casino, and Seabrook Village.
Canal House is located on 26 miles of freshwater canals and connects to Duck Lake with 4 islands for exploring with your kayak. Deer and wildlife (raccoons, otters, fish, herons, and even a few bears (which we know are here but have never seen ourselves). Beautiful deck across the back of the house and another one down by the dock. Work remotely? No problem. Just bring your laptop or computer and plug it in for work or play. Very fast high-speed internet and wifi. Around the corner is Weatherwax Trail, an easy flat trail through the forest and out to Duck Lake. A wall of sliding glass doors provides you with 24-hour views of the canal, wildlife, and ever-changing sky. Peaceful location across from an elementary school and a church. Ocean Shores has cute shops, many coffee drive-up kiosks, and some casual cafes to choose from. A grocery store and pharmacy provide everything that is needed for a wonderful stay. All facilities in town are just a 5-minute drive from Canal House.
The city rules require this house to be rented for 1 month at a time, with no nightly rentals. If you just want a month of peacefulness or are a storm watcher, to work remotely , or retired this could be the place for you!

Perfect house, hosts, and location

First of all, the hostess is fantastic - very responsive, very thoughtful, and very sharp. She is attuned to everything one might think of or need. The house reflects that. It's recently been renovated and has that fresh, breezy feel to it, especially with the white and navy themed decor. The yard is big and professionally landscaped, has a huge deck, and backs up to the canal, where we've seen herons, ducks, a few lone geese, swimming deer (!), and even a river otter. They have a 2-person kayak which worked wonderfully for adventures on the calm canal with the kiddos. They have loads of indoor and outdoor games, extra beach towels, tons of books, etc. The kitchen is perfectly stocked and has a gorgeous view and counter. The rooms, including 2 office spaces, are thoughtfully appointed.2 bathrooms, high end bathroom supplies, filtered drinking water from the faucet, TV screens in every room. Some several blocks from the beach in 2 directions. Our favorite is Damon Point/Park. Great base location for exploring the Olympics (an hr's drive to the rain forest trail) and gems like Ruby Beach. Had fun at the local go-kart/ice cream place in town. Good local grocery store (IGA). The house is opposite an elementary school (where there is a playground), w/ a great big field between the school and the house, and a church - lots of green space and peaceful. We stayed for 1 month and didn't encounter a single problem. We feel pampered and rested and wish the hosts all our best!
