Northcoast Village Impeccable Unit with both Ocean and Harbor Views

  • Beautiful single-story unit facing north with stunning views of the harbor and ocean beach in gorgeous North Coast Village. Enjoy the views from patio, along with a full kitchen and updated bathroom. The unit has a gorgeous ocean breeze but does not have air conditioning. The property features lush landscaping with koi ponds, waterfalls, and streams. There is a large pool and spa for your use, both heated year-round. There are washer/dryer amenities in the laundry areas on site, making it easy to do several loads at a time if needed. There is also a weight gym and cardio gym with a clubhouse for pool, ping pong or relaxing. Additional amenities include a putting green and direct beach access where bikes, skateboards and walkers are found. It’s just a few-minute walk to the beach, pier, and harbor, as well as nearby restaurants and bars. The unit includes beach chairs, boogie boards, linens, and beach towels. Nearby attractions include Legoland, Duffy electric boat ride by the Harbor, the flower farms in Carlsbad, Jet Ski and SUP rentals at Carlsbad Lagoon, the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, SeaWorld, Disneyland, and Knott’s Berry Farm. Temecula is also nearby, with more than 50 wineries and a great Old Town area. The city is very walkable it’s in a great central location! It was a beautiful property. Close to the beach. Most place are walkable. Make sure you don’t get there to early before check-In unless you have an early check-In. Security will not let you in till exact time. Laundry you need to have app to use and pay for it. Pool area was nice and clean. Gets busy in the afternoon. No ac in the units but beautiful cool breeze keeps the room cool. Beach chairs, towels and sand buckets were supplied buy the host.

Charmingly decorated with beach themed linens and decor. The living room is geared for comfort! Very well outfitted kitchen and linen cupboard. Nice additional amenities, like beach chairs and beach wagon. Also games, books, and magazines. Unit is very convenient to parking, and to stairs that access grounds/pool/gym/beach. Beautiful view and nice breeze when windows are open. We particularly enjoyed the unexpected treat of rainbows cast across the room as the sun was setting and hitting beveled mirror edges as it sank! Host was very kind and supportive during our extended stay. Couldn't ask for better! Comfortable bed, updated kitchen and bath. Bath was stocked with a variety of amenities. One caution goes out to those sensitive to the mildew/mold that is extremely common in buildings near water. This unit and the adjacent one (also musty) sit over a lovely water feature (think babbling brook), but that comes at the cost of high humidity and mustiness until the unit gets aired out.

My rating is based mostly on our experience at the property , not the individual unit. Negatives: Unfortunately, construction was going on outside of our unit and above our unit. Contractors did start after 8 and were done by 4. We also had a smoke/Co2 detector go off upstairs and in our unit. Lots of noise when we are on vacation. Cleaning was so-so. Items left under couch cushions, under bed, items (chairs, bogie boards) left outside on balcony. Could be improved. Unit is showing some wear and tear in areas, screen door broken, couch uncomfortable, flooring issues, large coffee pot broken. Positives: Communication with owner and property manager were great and timely. Great views of the bay and ocean. Wife stated the bed was the best we have slept on in all our travels. Unit was decorated well, not to much and not bare. Grounds of complex are amazing and good food is just a walk away. Things to do are awesome, walk to the pier, harbor, downtown, etc. Short drive to grocery, shopping, for us family. Overall: WE love this complex and all it offers. This unit is a great find. When we come back, we will definitely see if this unit fits into our schedule.

We loved the location of this condo. The room was spacious enough for my family's needs. We appreciated the wagon to haul the beach gear to and from the beach. We brought our own tower fan since there is no a/c and I like to sleep cold. We were comfortable both day and night.

Host seemed very nice and responsive. The room was ok but the chair covers needed cleaning. When I reported them, someone came and cleaned them very quickly. The bigger issue for us was the musty/mildewy smell coming from the dresser in the bedroom, it should be replaced. Very hard to sleep in that room, woth the oder, took for ever to figure it out. The living room wooden table has the same issue, but not as bad. The office staff was nice.

We really enjoyed the stay. The unit was very clean. Great view from balcony. Plenty of space for family of 4. Had pretty much everything you need. Tv channels and wifi were great. Also walking distance to beach. Would highly reccomend staying in this unit.

Very lovely

We enjoyed our stay. Weather was so nice. Avg temp 70 degrees. Pool was nice, hot tub was great. Only thing we didnt like was having to pay for laundry. Trust me that is not a deal breaker here. We were able to walk down to the pier and enjoyed the local marketplace on thursday. And its right next to the Top Gun House. We walked everywhere and had so much fun.

Beautiful!!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful, well maintained, and extremely well stocked place on the beach! Seriously the kitchen has everything you might need and there were plenty of extra towels and bedding. Located within walking distance of the pier and near all the shops and restaurants. The property grounds and unit are very clean and extremely well maintained. You have access to a well equipped gym with a sauna and a whirlpool as well as the outdoor pool. Check-in and check out was very easy. We loved having a gated covered parking spot very close to the unit. The host is extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!
