"Definitely a must . From the front desk to the maintenance people really friendly and helpful.. There was some weather issues but they keep in touch the whole way. we stay in the Tree House Clean,enough space for a family of 4 , Has it's own little kitchen withch is so convenient for us with tiny kids Private enough we didn't have to worry about bothering others.. If you are looking for views this is not the place since is on the back of the property. It was great for us.. we loved it."

"MarshMellow has EVERYTHING you can think of for your stay on Ocracoke. Much to our surprise there were views from every deck of the house and a HUGE backyard for our furbabies. The golf cart was a huge win. Anything you need in the kitchen is supplied for you, as well as basic bathroom toiletries and linens. (There are even fans supplied in bedrooms if you tend to be a little on the hot side....no need to bring one) Loved the entryway into the home where you can just drop everything. That space is nicely set up to organize your things when you come in (doggie bags provided, how nice!) There are options for separate entrances if you wish to not disturb others that you are traveling with.....that is a huge bonus. Locks on all the screen doors to keep everyone safe, inside and outside. The only thing we found that could use a small tweaking was the gathering space in the living room could be a little more comfortable, and we only say that because we spent more time than most inside because we had a storm come through during our stay. The coffee table is a little tipsy (although gorgeous) be careful if you have little ones. It seems to just need a fourth leg placed on it to stabilize it. It could hurt a little one or a pet. It did tip over a couple of times on us just with a toddler leaning on it, luckily we caught it before anything happened. Other than that, the house is top notch and we will definitely be staying again! LOVE LOVE LOVE the MarshMellow!"

"This place is something else! We ended up booking a last minute stay - we arrived in the dark and it was late. As soon as we stepped inside, we had the warmest welcome and fell in love with the place instantly! We’ve done tons of traveling and on this specific trip we were on a road trip from Portland, Maine to Charleston, SC and this was without a doubt our fav place to stay! It’s not fancy, the door didn’t close properly but we didn’t care! I can’t wait to go back and stay for more than 1 night!"

"Our stay at Silver Lake was wonderful, Hanna & John were perfect hosts and have done a great job with renovating both the hotel and The Jolly Roger! The room was spacious and well appointed with all needs met. The newly added rockers and side tables on the porch were enjoyable and the resort Bicycles made getting around a fun experience."

"The outlets in the loft only work if the light is on so you are unable to use the fan/charge phones etc. unless the lights are on. I would recommend bringing a battery powered fan it can get quite hot up there at night even with the AC on. Overall good experience!"
