Tucked into the peaceful Larch Hills, just 25 minutes from Salmon Arm and close to wineries, trails, and the scenic Shuswap River, Violet Cabin offers a charming, off-grid retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Located just 10 minutes from the Larch Hills Nordic trail system, it’s the perfect base for skiers, hikers, and those who crave fresh air and forest views. Cozy up by the crackling wood stove after a day of adventure, or unwind in your own private wood-fired sauna surrounded by trees.

A Unique Off-Grid Experience
While Violet Cabin doesn't have electricity or running water, it more than makes up for it with thoughtful comforts:
• Modern propane lighting and appliances
• Clean water in 5-gallon jugs
• Cozy duvets, king-sized bed, and wood heat

This is rustic luxury—where you can disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature.

Perfect getaway

We were just looking for a simple cabin stay on the way out to the island and were so impressed with what we got! There were so many little touches that made this stay so special. Even the outhouse was made to feel like a mini home! Will definitely be staying here again :)

Beautiful cabin and forest. You can tell the owners are creative with nature. Really nice touch on forest store and wares. Well maintained trails, peaceful, quiet. What we needed. Thank you for a terrific experience.
