"We staid one night while hiking the caminho. Hotel / rooms are clean/good and breakfast was good. There are multiple restaurants close by. Only topic to mention in case you hike, is the checkin time that closes at 7 pm in case you hike. We had a longer distance on that day and had to check teh time while hiking."

"Firstly thank to owner Joana for being so responsive. The house in Esposende totally fitted the holiday brief - we wanted somewhere coastal but chill without the hordes of tourists and tat! The old part of Esposende (10 mins stroll from house) is a lovely old fishing village - great tapas and light bites to be had al fresco in the main square of an evening - there's a sushi restaurant that looks good, too! The house is only a five minute walk to a beach which is low surf and PERFECT for swimming in the morning before heading out to the sights of Viana do Castello, Guimarães (beautiful) Braga or river swimming at Moledo. Great wild beach walks on the camino from nearby Ofir. The house has so much light, the rooms downstairs smelt a little stuffy on arrival but were fine within 24 hrs of opening (just needed airing) and there are mosquito nets so you can keep the windows open of a night! Lovely long terrace that gets the sun for morning pilates and for evening drinks, too. We had a hitch with the heat pump/jhot water but Joana was on it straight away and all sorted within the afternoon. Great to have such a considerate owner who puts as much thought into the property. PS The cat is lovely but don't be fooled, she has a home right next door! "

"Our family had a delightful stay at this spacious four-bedroom villa in Fão, Portugal. The villa is perfectly situated, just 50 metres from the pristine Ofir Beach, allowing for easy and frequent beach visits. The private pool provided a refreshing retreat, and the ample parking made our stay hassle-free.The villa was well-equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Ricardo, our local host, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer helpful recommendations, enhancing our overall experience.We took advantage of the villa’s prime location to explore the beautiful northern region of Portugal. Day trips to Braga, Porto, and the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park were highlights of our holiday, offering a mix of cultural experiences and natural beauty.In summary, this villa in Fão provided the perfect base for a memorable family holiday. Its proximity to the beach, combined with the comfort of the villa and the outstanding hospitality, made our stay truly enjoyable. "This is a really fun place to stay. We stayed there as we were walking on the Camino Way and it was in a perfect location. The staff was great. They did not have an open restaurant, although they had a small dining area with a limited menu and were very kind to make us salads and quiches. If our feet hadn’t hurt so bad, we could have walked to several restaurants in the area."
