When I first pulled in, my husband was like omg wth, check-in went smooth; got the key- yes, key- just like the motels in the 70s. " That's what drew me there: one floor, not the hotels you stay at now, two or three floors. Not personable, I got chilly and could not figure out the heater; the young lady brought us a small space heater, and it warmed up the room quickly. The staff is all kind and cares about their guests. My favorite part was the train tracks across from the motel, hearing the trains several times at night. We both slept so soundly; the beds were soft and comfortable. I would totally stay there again, and I recommend it if you want a piece of nostalgia and to step back in time.

It was so refreshing to be greeted with a smile and a cheerful attitude! I asked if the woman owned the place and she said yes. It appeared that they are still updating and preparing some of the rooms. It's a charming vintage motel away from the noise of the interstate. Everything in the room worked, the bed was comfortable, all amenities I needed were there. For the frugal minded this is a wonderful place. I even enjoyed hearing the train pass through across the street, as I've lived near tracks for years. Parking was just outside the door, I felt safe and secure. I would definitely stay there again. I don't need fancy, I want clean, quiet, safe, private and inexpensive. This place was all of that!
