Fantastic place. The staff are super friendly and helpful and will give you a tour of the facilities and the rooms, as each room has a presidential theme and has many vintage decorations within. Lots of fun in curiosity and discovery. Being an old converted school building the rooms are a bizarre hybrid of classroom and museum. The rooms are quite spacious because, well, they were once classrooms. Beds were comfortable and there is a kitchen room where you can also grab some treats. Really enjoyable stay!

Rooms are humongous, being converted elementary school classrooms. Lots and lots of local history books and info available right in each room. We've stayed here several times during the past five or six years and every visit seems to get better than the one before it. The owners/operators are absolutely salt of the earth people. We go there to visit family and to watch Broadway type plays less than five minutes away. Every time we get back home, we start planning our next trip!

First-time stay here, great host's rooms are large and very clean. Breakfast was served coffee and orange juice with pancakes, bacon, fresh berries and real maple syrup. It was delicious.

I am not much of a Bed and Breakfast person. This type of place would be far outside my character to stay, but I was pleased with the comfort of the beds, sheets, and towels. The breakfast was excellent, and there were so many amenities available if you needed them. Very interesting property. I was glad I stayed and would recommend this Inn to anyone in the area.

The hosts were phenomenal in welcoming us to this historic school. The provided breakfast was great(French toast with real maple syrup, bacon, fruit, OJ,coffee and tea. The rooms are large, former classrooms, well decorated and lots of space to just sit and or read. Bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked well. No elevator but only two stories. There is also a pool in front. Check out Remington Museum if staying here, only about 8 blocks away.

I loved the Sherman Inn!! Jim and Donna were so friendly and I loved the history throughout. Truly a unique and wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious, the beds comfortable, the rooms were huge and you couldn’t ask for better company. I will stay again when in Ogdensburg.

The couple who run the Sherman Inn are absolutely lovely — welcoming, attentive, and care a lot about their guests and their experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional! This place is truly a hidden gem!!

We would highly recommend the Sherman Inn. We had an amazing stay in a beautifully appointed historic inn. The rooms are huge with plenty of room to relax and stretch your legs. We slept so well and had the best homemade breakfast. We will be back!!

This is an Ogdensburg gem! The innkeepers are warm, friendly and accommodating with lots of insights about local history and things to do. Breakfast was AMAZING. Huge rooms with interesting decor. The inn is right in the middle of town and convenient to everything. You won’t find a better place to stay in Ogdensburg.

Beautiful Rooms, no issues with Room at all. The room is Large, very large. Breakfast was amazing, you dont order, so you get what they are having in the main Dining room. We had French Toast, sausage and fruit. It was a lot to eat. I am not a huge fan of French Toast, but I was that day, it was excellent. The berries and fruits were plentiful on plate and fresh, and the link sausage was perfect. Overall an excellent experience. Would do again.

Everything was just perfect. The rooms are huge, and the breakfasts are hot and delicious. Jim and Donna go the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and relaxing. Sherman Inn is by far the best place to stay when visiting Ogdensburg, NY. Lots of history in this old Elementary School.

Such a cool and unique stay! This beautifully restored old school turned hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The location couldn’t be better — close to everything yet still cozy and quiet. Everything was spotless and had such a welcoming, homey feel the moment we walked in. The beds were incredibly comfortable (some of the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel!), and the staff went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating. You can truly feel the warmth and hospitality throughout the entire place. We will absolutely be staying here again!
