"Lovely modern hotel offering beautifully appointed rooms. Our room was an ocean view room and the view was spectacular. Comfortable beds, fridge, TV, nice bathroom. Walkable to the Pier Hotel or to town and nearby whale watching. Hotel has a pool onsite, restaurant and bar. Could be improved by offering YouTube on TV as limited TV options. Also no way to pay using Amex which was disappointing. But otherwise a lovely stay very friendly staff and would recommend! "

"Te Mahuru Tetreat is a jewel in Kaikoura’s crown. A perfect location, easy to get to and not far out of Kaikōura itself.
The accommodation provides a high standard of facilities and is immaculate.
It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat.
Nothing is too much for the host and the breakfast is well catered.
We had a very comfortable and relaxing staying, the only thing is we wished we had stayed for longer.
You will not be disappointed and would highly recommend this accommodation if you are staying in Kaikoura and the surrounding area."
