"All comments apply to the following day when I showed up at the Claymore. An error was made on my part or Experia's about the day of arrival, and I did not catch it in the email from the Claymore. The actual review has been given for the following day when I did stay there. Clean room, more than helpful staff, and a good breakfast."

"The property is old but they have put a lot of effort into modernizing. New windows, WiFi and newer tv. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, lots of towels and face cloths. Room was clean. Amenities were abundant. Heat pump worked excellent and we were experiencing cold temperatures outside. Two luggage racks which no motel or hotel gives you (why, two people why not 2 suitcase racks). Breakfast was offered but we declined. Short drive into downtown (5 min) Antigonish with Walmart, Canadian Tire and fast foods if that’s your thing! Price for what you get was excellent."

"We found that they thought of everything you might need from dog poop bags to bug spray. We always bring all the supplies we need but forgot bug spray. We were going to run out for some but then saw a can inside the cottage. There were supplies for tea and coffee which you don't often see. We had our own but just seeing all the extras you never expected was nice. There were even some books, games and fishing supplies if you wanted to do any of that. Well thought out for what people staying there might need."

"Host was very responsive and it was very easy to check in. The flat was clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen to make meals. It is located near the hospital so it can be loud but was quiet enough to have a good night sleep at nighttime. Also close to stores so a very convenient location!"

"Needs an upgrade. We rented 2 rooms fo the weekend. Both were comfortable - no complaints. One room - the lamp didn’t work properly - had to plug in/out of wall to turn it on/off. Carpeting in main areas on stairs was filthy and very stained. Just didn’t give a great impression on overall cleanliness. Rooms were clean. We weren’t able to make breakfast the first day - due to our own plans. The 2nd day there was a power outage overnight - where power was restored at 7:15. However they cancelled breakfast when we had come down at 8:30 -‘so we had to go out. Other restaurants in town were open. Location is great. I would stay here again, but for the price, I would expect some improved cleanliness and repairs."
