Wonderful lodge and spa in the hillside Okaukuejo, Namibia. They upgraded me due to COVID to a beautiful modern room with a speckling of antiques. The staff was attentive and warm. Food was excellent! Massage and a pool day was a nice break. Did a late afternoon game drive and a morning trip to see the Himba tribe. Wish I had stayed longer!

Lovely views, can see game at the waterhole in front of the lodge, or in the hills below. Staff was lovely. Came with free half hour spa treatment and a car wash before departure. Menu and wine selection decent for the location. Rooms were larger and more comfortable than expected. Wonderful cold pool that was so refreshing after a hot afternoon!

Een ramp!!!!

Bij aankomst was er blijkbaar geen reservatie voor ons,de betaling was volgens het hotel ook niet gebeurd terwijl ik dit nochtans kon bewijzen via mijn creditcard uittreksel. Dit wilde men niet aanvaarden en vanaf dan werden we naar ons gevoel zéér argwanend behandeld. Uiteindelijk kregen we dan toch een kamer die qua prijs kwaliteit helemaal niet aan onze verwachtingen voldeed. Wij vonden de accommodatie in het algemeen nogal afgeleefd en er was blijkbaar in de nabijheid een 2de complex van de zelfde eigenaar van een hogere standaard en hadden het gevoel dat het eagle complex aan het afbouwen was en naar mijn gevoel waarschijnlijk ook ofwel gaat verdwijnen of een grondige renovatie gaat krijgen. Het gevolg van het vinden van geen reservatie en betaling was dat we de betaling opnieuw moesten doen of men liet ons niet vertrekken,IPV contact op te nemen met hotel.com waar misschien wel de fout lag (of misschien ook niet). We hebben dan ook nog meer moeten betalen dan de prijs waarvoor we oorspronkelijk geboekt hadden en moesten om een bewijs van betaling gaan bij het andere nabij gelegen hotel omdat de printer bij hen niet werkte. Alles in overweging genomen was dit 1 van de slechtste ervaringen die we op onze tientallen reizen al meegemaakt hebben.

Magnifique !

Hotel super original , placer dans un décor magnifique ! réception très bien avec boisson fraiche +lingette , personnels super , repas digne de grand chef très bien ,petit déjeuner parfait . Chambre était une partie tente bien mais trop chaud ( Clime ne fonctionnait pas ) très bien aménagé ,grande .

Accueilli avec des serviettes fraîches mais personne pour porter les bagages . J’avais spécifié que je suis handicapé , accès très difficile loin en montée avec des chemins pavés impossible pour une chaise roulante . Bonne cuisine et bon dîner .acces très difficile de la salle à moi à cause des escaliers infernaux Les tentes des chambres mal arrimées donnant un bruit épouvantable toute la nuit Enfin et cela est subjectif la deco et l’architecture du bâtiment particulièrement laid

This is a really unique property and we enjoyed our short stay. The dinner, although a fixed menu, was very tasty. The rooms are interesting and comfortable, and the hot shower was such a treat after many cold ones. The view from the room terrace at night was a highlight. The lodge is located around an hour outside the park.

Deze Lodge ligt wat afgelegen, maar is zeer zeker een omweg waard. Het personeel was super. Het eten erg goed, wij hadden half pension. Het zwembad is prima. De tent was erg mooi met bad op de veranda, romantisch

Romantic beautiful Resort in the near of Etosha

A wonderful place to stay in the near of Etosha Gate. Its only 40 minutes to go there on a very good street! The place is amazing and you are in the middle of nature in your top equipped tent. Also the pool is very nice to relax a little bit. For us it was a perfect romantic place !

Luxus in freier Natur

Tolles Erlebnis. Luxus im „Standardzelt“. In der Badewanne liegen und den Giraffen zusehen. Sehr gute Küche und herzliche Angestellte auf allen Ebenen. Etosha—Tour mit sehr kompetentem Guide, gut organisiert und tolle Tierbeobachtungen. Umgebung ist traumhaft. Sehr zu empfehlen.

excellent rooms - Poor service

The rooms were excellent but the restaurant service was very slow,took 2 hours to get a toasted sandwich for lunch,dinner was a bit better,breakfast over an hour for 2 poached eggs.Alot of building going on so alot of noise and mess around.

Extremely dangerous and terrible stays in my life

We booked 2 “Luxury Tent” rooms for consecutive 3 nights, my wife and I lived in one room, while my friend lived in another room. At around 9:30 am on 25 Dec 2015 when my wife got up, she noted that her backpack was missing, while I noted that my suitcase and backpack were searched by someone, my trousers and my little bag which I stored valuable items such as passports, credit cards and cash notes were missing, there were lot of coins on the chair where I placed my trousers, however, I closed all screen windows and locked the door before sleeping in the room. Then I walked outside the room, I observed that there was a hole under one of the screen windows which was probably made by the theft(s). I immediately went to the room of my friend and found that there was a similar hole in his room too. I reported to the hotel. After a while (less than 20 mins), when the General Manager came, he bought the backpack of my wife together with my little bag, saying he found these items hanging on a tree. After checking the backpack and the little bag, I observed that all my cash notes were gone. The General Manager promised to give us the full amount of our loss as compensation on the next working day of a bank. After we left the hotel, the General Manager said he had a limited authority that he could not offer any help. As we were sleeping in rooms which windows and door were closed and locked respectively, being broken into the rooms was definitely the insufficient force of security.

Wunderschöne Lodge, leider etwas außerhalb des Etosha Parks ( 1 1/2 Fahrstunden).Unterkunft in Luxuszelten. Abendessen leider nicht im Freien. Gutes Essen. Game Drives. Lodge relativ teuer.

Schöne Lodge und guter Service

Etwas seltsames Hauptgebäude, aber die Zelt-Bungalows sind sehr schön und gross, absolut ruhig. Besonders: Badewanne auf der Terrasse. Einsame Lage. Essen war sehr gut, Weinauswahl ebenfalls. Freundliche Bedienung. Schwaches WLAN und etwas weit vom Parkeingang zur Etosha-Pfanne entfernt, falls man die Lodge als Basis nehmen möchte. Game-Drives im eigenen Reservat möglich, aber eingeschränkte Vielfalt an Tieren.
