"I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "The food, atmosphere, and super friendly staff definitely make this place to return to. Staff was always friendly and very, very accommodating even with our limited Japanese vocabulary. Definitely the highlight of our trip for sure!"

"Special experience - close to nature and yet very modern facilities and impressive architecture. Would recommend coming in the snowy season"

"If your goal is to get as remote as possible, this is the place for you. It’s an adventure to get to, but when you get there, the remote location provides a tranquility that is second to none. Wonderful experience."

" Excellent "

"スタッフの方々は、とても親切ですが 玄関のスリッパなど　いろいろと乱れてます せっかく良い温泉のお湯なのに もったいないです。 頑張って掃除して下さい。"

"Really great spot, staff was wonderful and the complimentary breakfast and dinners were great, the Onsen was nice and relaxing, make sure you bring cash if you want to explore town because none of the buses accept IC cards"

"Traditional Japanese stay. Great experiences"

"good hotel"

"They were very helpful even with my limited Japanese"

"静かで落ち着いた雰囲気が良い"

"最悪です。 カメムシ大量発生と張り紙あるけど対応しないままみたいです。 トイレは一部和式、浴場のシャワーつかえないものあり。 2部屋予約したら1部屋は狭いグレード下の部屋。フロントにつたえても、エクスペディアのような海外サイトからの予約だから対応できないと。 2度と泊まりたくないです。"

"Very helpful and friendly staff "

"First time here, very relaxing. There are 3 different onsens in the building, and you can use the onsens at their sister location! We drove, and there was ample parking."

"Our stay was a very special traditional ryokan experience. The location right next to the river/waterfall makes for a scenic backdrop, that just elevates the experience. Our room was rather big and we loved the decor. The spas are large and all have an in- and outdoor area. We also booked massages and the private spa and both where very nice. Breakfast is traditional japanese. We went by car and there was parking close to the hotel, but there is also a bus station right in front of the lobby."
