This property was very clean and modern for the location where this is situated. It’s in a great location and the room size was huge. Our room had two queen beds, which was refreshing compared to the other hotels. We’ve stayed at during our trip with just twin size beds. The bonus was that the SKER restaurant was directly on the ground floor and had good food options for us vegetarians and was discounted because we stayed at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in many hotels along the circle but Vest Mar was the best of all ! My family was very impressed with the location and nicely done room arrangements with dining table. The kitchen had all necessary plates and dishes. We all agreed if we re-visit Iceland Vest Mar will be the only hotel we need to book for the duration of stay.

Very clean, spacious, comfortable bed. Only issue was during checkout, could not unlock my door. Had a shuttle to catch. Made me panic. Calls were not getting connected, to do with my phone and plan. Finally got the attention of a customer in the parking lot. Who got a staff to help. Staff at that place are super nice.

Prices in Iceland are high. This was comparable. Nicely appointed. Clean and comfortable room. Liked the kitchenette. Plates and settings. Microwave and refrigerator. Pictures did not represent the room. Nicer! Restaurant was very good! Family enjoyed the food- prices again are high in Iceland but well thought out ingredients and taste. Comparable pricing. Big drink selection. Caution. No elevator. 3 flights of stairs.

The town is a great stopover during a road trip, though its food options are limited and everything closes on the earlier side, so check hours before you go. Property was nice, staff was friendly, room was big and clean. Restaurant in the lobby was great for relaxing after a long day with a glass of wine and an appetizer. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

What a delightful place to stay! We had a large room with huge bed overlooking the fishing docks and bay. If we had a room on the other side of the hotel, we would have seen mountains and the Baejarfoss waterfall. The room had a large TV, loveseat, chair, desk, and room for extra storage. The bathroom was well equipped. This is a great place to stay for a few days if exploring the Snaefellsnes peninsula (comfort, food, gas, grocery, excursions). We ate dinner in the restaurant below, and this was a fantastic dinner. Check-in was literally arriving, going to the room, and entering the given code. Super easy. Highly recommend staying at VestMar!

An inn by the sea

An inn located by the sea, you can check in by yourself with a password sent to you. The guest rooms are on the second floor, and the restaurant is on the ground floor, so it is very convenient for food and accommodation.

This is by far the best hotel we stayed in Iceland. Nestled in the northern side of Snaefellesnes peninsula in Olasvik, the hotel is a very reasonable distance from Kirkjufellfoss. The room was spacious, and very clean. When I called up the customer service and asked to move me to a room with kitchen, she gladly did that for me. Such a nice gesture. We are a family of 4 and this was a family room with ocean view. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Super comfy and quiet

Very large room with updated bathroom and a coffee maker. Centrally located but there is not much to see or do in town. Restaurant downstairs is good but pay attention during breakfast as they don’t refill much when things run out. This morning they were out of croissants, juice, milk, bread, coffee (asked for more), and cheese (asked for more)

Great location in centre of town. But the town is small. Great restaurant just under the apartments. Apartments were roomy and had all appliances required. Maid changed towels, teatowels and cloths every day.

Good amount of space in the apartment. Very clean. This was the cheapest place we could find at reasonably short notice but was pretty expensive for what we got. Very good base for exploring the Snaefelsness peninsula.

Lovely spacious studio apartment, easily enough room for all 3 of us. Clean and has everything needed. It is a little dated and the only thing that lets it down is no lift to get suitcases upstairs. Beware to other visitors that there is only one restaurant in town - but it is an excellent one!

The place is next to the main road in Olafsvik so it was easy to find. Apartman was avail by code. Everything was nice and tidy. Microwave and fridge avail that was the most important for us. Sufficient place for our group.

The room was very spacious and had all the conveniences of home. It was hard to find once we got into town. The signage wasn't clear, and we had to ask across the street where it was located.
