"We arrived later than planned, after contacting reception via intercom, advised which was our room and given code for keysafe, found that ( in the dark on adjacent wall, lighting not good but had phone torch ) and after finding room ( site not that well lit ) we opened the door by key only to find it already occupied !!! Key also rather alarmingly fitted a neighbouring room ( with a very similar room name so in the dark the confusion by the occupier in our room could be forgiven ) and as that other room was set up ready we just moved in. Once inside the room was clean, pleasant etc but not without mosquitoes who fed on us well that night !! "

"Quiet location and the host promptly sorted out a lack of water supply on arrival. Overall, happy with the accommodation except for the horrible polyester bed linen and lumpy polyester-filled pillows which were nasty and sweaty and impossible to use: after a sleepless first night the local bedding shop in Westport came up trumps with a cheap cotton bed linen set and wool pillows. From then on the bed was very comfortable. Otherwise everything was as expected. Plenty of do and see in the local area. "

"Almost everything about this place was great - i even had a decent view of the mountains over the fence through my back sliding door which i liked to keep open for the fresh late summer air when in the room. I barely heard any noise from people in other rooms, including no tv noise! The primary downside was the unsupportive mattress which was a common experience for me throughout NZ, leading to poor sleep and aggravated bad back, even with all the wonderful pillows. It also made it hard to ignore the sounds of very large trucks driving by or stopping out front, throughout the night. I ended up getting a white noise app and playing it loudly to help drown that out. I would consider ataying again, dependent on room location and probably not for multiple nights."

"Cosy, rustic cabin, cleverly planted so it feels like your own little hideaway, and couldn't be closer to the beach - spent many hours sitting on the suntrap deck and watching the waves. Quiet and private, with everything you need (extra fridge/freezer a bonus). Grounds are beautifully maintained and staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely break away."
