A lot of activities!
There was a lot of activities to do while there. We spend out time at the lake, playing board games, and sometime being lazy and just watch tv all together!

Friend's group getaway
There were a group of 10 of us that stayed at this house for a get together. We house was very well stocked, we were very comfortable, and we had great communication with the owner. We are considering coming back in the summer to enjoy again and use all of the swimming and boating equipment. Thanks :)

A week to relax and do some Ice fishing
This home is everything as described and more. We had two familys in our party, 4 adults 7 kids and there was more then enough room to be comfortable. The kids loved the bunk room! Communication was excellent. Although the winter didnt cooperate the best for ice fishing we were able to go just down the road to Castle resorts and get on some ice and catch fish. Besides fishing we spent alot of time hanging at the house just relaxing and enjoyomg the quite and beauty of the property.

Two day fishing trip
Five guys stayed for a couple days of fishing. Unfortunately we did not have the time or weather to utilize any of the outdoor amenities. But the location was perfect for us and we enjoyed sitting next to the fireplace to warm up after a cold, rainy day on the lake.

Everything was perfect. We had no complaints. The house was clean and very spacious. He had every accommodation that anyone could ever ask for. Everything was provided from every size life jacket to water shoes. They had fun lawn games. The kids loved the swing set and we all loved the kayaks and paddle boat. The house was big enough for our family of 11. Jason was fast to respond to my many questions. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We would highly recommend this home to any one looking for a perfect getaway.

Awesome vacation - highly recommend!
We came with 4 adults and 5 teens and pre-teens. The property is beautiful, clean and has everything you need for a relaxing, fun time. From kayaks to bikes to a stocked kitchen of supplies, we had an absolute blast. Highly recommend!

Winter paradise!
We filled the house with 16 people but it didn’t feel crowded. Lots of games around the large dining room table, ice fishing, and riding the snowmobile on the lake. Jason was fast to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. Lovely time had by all!

we had a wonderful time at jason's. The house was beautifully decorated for christmas. We were here last november for our thanksgiving. The house is nice and big which we need with our big bunch. The kitchen is well supplied for cooking. It is a beautiful view of the lake also.

This is a great property. We did an extended family getaway with 7 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the sandbox, bikes and water toys that were provided. The adults loved the fully stocked kitchen, separate bedrooms with adjoining baths and how easy it was to keep an eye on the kids from pretty much anywhere in the house. The owners have thought of everything you'll need while you're here. Can't go wrong with this one!

We throughly enjoyed staying at the Lakeside Retreat. It was perfect for our family of 12. Plenty of room for all of us. There was something to do for everyone! Between kayaking, the paddle boat, cornhole, fishing, lots of room for the kids to play. We would recommend staying here, and would definitely stay here again!

Great home!
We loved our stay and could not have had a better experience working with Jason! The house was amazing and was stocked with everything we needed and more! The garage was full of games and activities to keep us busy, which we really appreciated! The fishing was good, however, the late spring made the water too cool for the water activities we had planned which was a bummer. This made more time for playing games, relaxing in the sun and just enjoying our time together. We would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

Best Xmas cabin.
We went to Cove Bay for a family Christmas. The place was amazing. Very clean, enough space/bedroom and bathroom for all of us. They had everything you could possible need. . The cabin was beautifully decorated for Xmas. They had more decorations then I did at home. Lol. The owner was very responsive and made sure we were plowed out when we got a big snow fall. I would definitely recommend it.

We loved this lake home!
Check-in and check-out went seamless. The owners were friendly and accommodating, really great and easy to work with. It was clean and comfortable in every way. It had plenty of beds and was well equipped both indoors and outdoors. Outside, there was a lovely firepit in the back showcasing beautiful views of Mille Lacs Lake. We had a beautiful and relaxing time, and created some great new memories. This is a wonderful place and we'd definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic time staying at the Lakeside Retreat. With our ages ranging from 9-77, everyone in our family of 9 was comfortable and found something to enjoy. From toys to games to a fire outside, we had a great weekend getaway.

Perfect place for a quiet getaway
Property was beautiful. The house inside and out was very clean. The extras in the garage kept my family busy for hours. We had so much fun playing games and being outside and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. We saw wildlife from deer to turkey's every morning. Fishing was awesome as well . Would more than recommend this property to anyone. We are considering booking this property again very soon.

Our Gathering for an Autumn escape was exceptional from 20 something to almost 90 we were all comfortable and cozy-excellent clean beds and bathrooms! So much to enjoy wheather a sunny day with kayaks -firepit singing-cornhole basketball ......but equally on a rainy day we enjoyed games -movies -baking the kitchen supplied all our needs-its unusuall for a prpperty to have stunning view equally from front covered porch and backyard beach -so quiet and serene our entire group had a lovely time and made magical memories!!!

The home is beautiful and was decorated for the season. The rooms are spacious, and virtually every bedroom had a very nice bathroom. The garage had plenty of toys/games all nicely labeled, all utensils for a fire pit to roast marshmallows, including firewood. Plenty of life vests (all sizes) for all the water crafts. Several bikes for most ages. The lake views were great, very long dock, lite up at night with solar lights. The play ground is amazing with swings, rock climbing wall for kids, monkey bars, slides, picnic tables. Our grandkids were kept busy and played with so many options. Oh, fishing poles as well, Was peaceful and quiet. The kitchen well equipped. It just felt great, well maintained, clean, and made for a very enjoyable stay.

Great getaway for fall close to the twin cities
We rented this property for a couple of nights to get away from the twin cities and get into nature with our 11 month old daughter after being cooped up for a long time with COVID. Since we rented in early October, we wanted a place that was comfortable inside and outside -- and this was perfect! We had cold rainy days but it was so nice to walk outside and watch the lake from the comfortable living room with the fireplace on. Quiet, clean, so many things to do in & out of the house. Communication with the host was amazing and great from start to finish!

Great family getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful quiet, private property....the view doesn't get any better than this! The kitchen is very well stocked for making meals and also has a great gas grill outside. The kids (ages 4 1/2 & 2) enjoyed the large flat yard and the play set which included a sand box w/toys. Also, there were many indoor/outdoor games, bikes, scooters & toys that were available for all ages to use....you don't need to bring any from home! We enjoyed using the kayaks, paddle boat and also the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have a washer and dryer available. We enjoyed seeing eagles and also hearing the loons. Hopefully we are able to return another summer...we had a great time. Thank you to the Wimmer's for sharing their beautiful property!

Labor Day Weekend 2020
We booked this get away weekend after having to cancel our North Shore Memorial weekend trip due to COVID19. We wanted something closer to the Cities that could accommodate our family size of 12 and this place was everything we could ask for! The Owner Jason was very responsive and very, very easy to communicate with. He was able to meet our needs for our furry family members which was HUGE! The home has everything that we needed for preparing meals for our group, we didn't have to bring anything besides the food. The massive table allowed our family to all eat together and play games at night. They provide a very nice grill that came in handy for two nights with our group. The bon fire pit is great! They even provided the fire wood so we did not have to haul our own. The huge yard and play area was a bonus for outdoor games and our little 2 yr old to play as well as the dogs to run. The water is shallow enough for the dogs to run in and for us to paddle boat around. The garage is stacked full of every kind of kid toy, life jackets, water toys, corn hole games and so much more... really unbelievable. The beds were comfy and the multiple bathrooms were so nice. All linens were provided and more than enough for our group. Over the past several years, our family has rented many places and this Lakeside Retreat on Cove Bay was everything we had hoped for and more. Thank you Jason and family for allowing us to stay in your home. We will be back! Five Stars for Sure!!!!
