"The village is small and the people in the local shops and restaurants are very welcoming… Apart from “hello - goodbye - please - thank you “ our French is shameful. But everyone was so friendly.. Our hosts, Anne-Sophie and Olivier were lovely. The cottage was fresh, clean, well equipped and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. If are looking for somewhere to call home and relax after exploring the region, this is the place stay."

Les jeunes ont apprécié la salle de billard et fléchettes ainsi que les jeux et livres mis à notre disposition. Je recommande ce gîte à qui veut passer un bon séjour et tout proche du zoo. "nous avons passé 3 nuits au clos allegria, très belle expérience. maison propre et toute rénovée,literie très bien et équipement de qualité . nous n’avons pas profité de l’extérieur de la maison car nous y étions en hiver mais belle terrasse et jardin. passage des trains au bout du terrain mais sans nuisance sonore… nous avons parfaitement été guidés dans notre prise en main du logement et départ.nous recommandons pour un séjour en famille dans les châteaux de la loire"

"One of the BEST places our family has stayed! The owner is so kind. The house is decorated with thoughtfulness. We were there during Easter time and she decorated it for the Easter season! Wonderful location. Can’t recommend enough!!"

Our hosts were wonderful and informative. The property is as described in the listing and in excellent condition. Would absolutely stay here again."

"We stayed here as two families with 5 children between us. The property is really lovely, it has so much character and is set in spacious grounds so ample room for the children to entertain themselves. The pool is a good size and right next to the house and there was plenty of useful information left by the owners to help plan trips further afield."

We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! Found it a bit difficult navigating from the parking across the lowly light ground in front (uneven lawn). Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Hosts very responsive. Thank you!"

"Le logement est très bien situé dans Amboise. Tout se fait à pied. Tout était parfait hormis le bruit dû au plancher de l'étage. La maison a été coupée en appartements et l'isolation phonique est inexistante."

"Ideally situated with just a pleasant 10 minute walk into the town and the chateau. Good access to main roads to visit other chateaux and countryside. Well furnished and decorated flat in a street of old houses. Parking is just around the corner. Francois is a pleasant and helpful host who lives next door to the site and is is on hand to resolve any difficulties or answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay."

"Great location, lots to do on the site and locally. Really peaceful site. Swimming pool was great! Not brilliant communication for the organised activities so we missed them all, but had so much to do it was excellent anyway. Very useful having electric car charging on site. Caravan was lovely, clean, well kept with all mod cons - would return, thank you!!"
