IF YOU ARE NOT INDIAN, DO NOT BOOK! I was unable to check in as *they do not accept foreigners*. So don't waste your time, avoid the stress, and look elsewhere instead. The staff member kindly lent me the office phone so I could call Hotels.com for assistance in finding a new place - it was a busy holiday weekend so Ooty was almost full except for the last expensive places; after 1h40 on the phone they found me a different hotel.
