The major downside was the 'spa' facilities and the communication from the very rude staff members. "House was spacious and pool was good - although it would have benefitted from steps rather than a ladder. Much of the grounds and the house itself needs some money spent - like so many rental properties owners are happy to take the money but not to spend it updating their property. As an example the TV was probably 20 years old. The cutlery was similarly old. The pillows provided were pretty grim. All little things but they do impact on enjoyment. Access to the property was by quite a few steps...

Keeping food away helped against being inundated, but they were always around in the kitchen and we saw some everywhere else in the house too. We were 7 and slept comfortably, but note that there's only one bathroom."
