The Angel’s Share -- Historic 1BR with Complimentary Distillery Flight

Distillers call the whiskey that evaporates from the barrel “the angel’s share.” This is ours — the private upstairs apartment of a 1920s Oshkosh home, restored and hosted by the distiller next door.

Original woodwork, hardwood floors, a clawfoot tub, and a complimentary tasting flight for two at Sturgeon Spirits, steps from your door.

Angel’s Share occupies the entire second floor and is yours alone during your stay. Self check-in is easy: guests enter through the coded rear exterior door, then use the same personalized code on the private smart-lock entrance to the apartment upstairs.

The rear exterior door opens into a shared entry hallway. The owner lives in the separate downstairs apartment. The rear hallway and basement laundry area are the only shared interior spaces; there is no shared living space.

The house has kept its character, with original natural woodwork, hardwood floors throughout, a turned-baluster staircase, and a clawfoot tub with shower in the full bath. The bedroom has a queen bed and good morning light. The living room has a big-screen TV and room to actually sit. The kitchen is full-size, with a real stove, full refrigerator, coffee, and an espresso machine for the morning.

Central air and fast Wi-Fi keep things comfortable. A washer and dryer are available free throughout your stay in the shared basement.

A tasting flight is included with every stay: a flight for two at Sturgeon Spirits, on the same property, with more than 180 craft spirits distilled on site. I’m usually behind the bar and happy to tell you what you’re drinking and a little about how we make it.

Tasting Room hours: Tue–Thu 4–8 PM · Fri 1–9 PM · Sat 1–9 PM · Sun 12–6 PM · Closed Monday.

Free parking is available on site, along with complimentary EV charging at the distillery.

Many local amenities are close. Wittman Regional Airport is about 5 minutes away · EAA Aviation Museum 9 minutes · UW–Oshkosh and downtown Oshkosh about 5 minutes · Lake Winnebago just minutes away · Lambeau Field about 50 minutes north, making Angel’s Share a comfortable base for a Packers weekend.

The apartment is up one full flight of stairs with no elevator, so it is best suited to guests comfortable with a second-floor walk-up.

Exterior cameras monitor the parking area and entry for guest safety. There are no cameras inside the apartment or in any private guest space.

Quiet hours begin at 10 PM. This is a residential neighborhood, and we ask guests to be considerate of our neighbors.
