About this property
Take time away to relax and enjoy Canada's wine capital and warmest lake
Come and enjoy the cottage life in the Okanagan's wine country next to the warmest lake in Canada. The climate in the only desert in Canada is warm and dry in the summer, perfect for relaxing at the lake or enjoying a selection of wines on your patio. Winter brings a mild climate, which is perfect to enjoy the slopes of the newly re-opened Mt Baldy ski resort less than an hour's drive from the cottage.
Our cottage consists of a cozy three-bedroom home with 2 bathrooms on two levels, 2 bedrooms down and the third located in the loft, perfectly designed for couples, families, and their guests. Main living areas look out to green landscaping, with trails to the magnificent clubhouse, a short walk to the sandy beach, and the playground with a fenced-in dog park. It's tastefully furnished and decorated to suit 6 adults on 2 full-size beds and a pull out sectional sofa, plus a bunk bed with an added trundle to accommodate 3 children.
The clubhouse has two pools, a full size adult pool and a smaller kids pool, as well as two hot tubs, all of which are open seasonally and weather dependent. There is also a full gym and a large community room that has a full sized kitchen and a fireplace to lounge next too. It is also set up as a small theater room for watching movies on a quiet night in.
There is no shortage of activities in and around the area, from the Peach Fest in August, to the numerous wine festivals that take place throughout the year. Or you can just enjoy a wine-tasting trip trying different wines at all the numerous wineries only a short minutes drive away. There are many bike and foot trails in the area to enjoy sightseeing, bird watching, or attend the local golf course for the day.
****Please be advised that due to the current Covid19 outbreak, the availability of amenities, such as the playground, pools, and gym, etc... may vary depending on the current provincial health guidelines.

Nice cottage with good walk ability. It was clean. The area was lovely. The host was very courteous when we had a question. We were concerned on the last day. Checkout was much earlier than I’ve ever known - by 10 am. There were lots of duties including remove sheets/duvets etc and wash & then put in dryer. The washer took an hour & a half!! Take trash out etc. we left it in very good condition. Too much work to end with. We were out on time but stressful. Awesome visit to wineries which was the reason for the visit. Local wineries were impressive with very kind staff! Beautiful scenery.
Nice location close to pool and short walk to beach
Great little cottage with ample seating in the living room and great sun room. Great location!! Kitchen well stocked- A few minor concerns: A/C and dishwasher might require some maintenance- A/C Very loud in the primary bedroom and dishwasher did not clean dishes-found dirty dishes in cupboards; ended up handwashing. We were 2 couples and thus would have liked Queen bed upstairs as it certainly has the room.
Great house and location. The house needs some stocking up as there wasn't much toilet paper, soap and it would have been nice to have some coffee for the Keurig machine. We noticed in the fine print that the propane doesn't come with the BBQ which seemed strange!
We had a great stay during our time in Osoyoos. The place had everything we needed as a family of 4 (2 kids under 4 years old). Lots of toys inside & sand toys for the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments, sauces & spices. Coffee maker plus keurig for pods. Lots of kitchen appliances including a blender. The enclosed outdoor patio space was so wonderful. Very clean and the hosts were very responsive. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic place to vacation with your entire family.
Had a wonderful stay at this cottage. First off very dog friendly! Lots of green space, off leash beach and park. Cottage is very close to the pool/ hot tub, playground and dog park. It is a short walk to a beautiful sandy clean sprawling beach. House is very well equipped for a family.
Inside and out this house had everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This rental met all of our expectations and more. The owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We were here in Winter and it was very quiet, which was exactly what we hoped for. In the Summer, I am sure it is much more active which would be great for anyone with children or grandchildren. The hot tub was open while we were here and we enjoyed that tremendously. We enjoyed our walks around the property each day and found the people in this little neigbourhood extremely friendly. Osoyoos is also very quiet in Winter time, but we enjoyed walking around the town and eating in the few places that stayed open. All in all, we would recommend this property.

A Wonderful Time!
We just returned from our stay at the Cottages and Litsa and Dimitri's cottage. The cottage is beautiful. It was very clean and well stocked; nicely furnished with plenty of towels and bedding. The stylish and functional furniture is great for a cottage. The proximity to the pool was perfect as our grandchildren loved spending time there. The playground was also a hit, as was the ample green space. The development is nicely laid out. We liked the beach area, too. Bringing a boat added some challenges to our stay ( this is due to the absence of a boat launch as well as parking for the boat trailer) which must cause some concern for owners who rent their cottages and/or boat slips. This was the only negative aspect of our stay. We have been to Osoyoos several times - come for the beautiful, hot, dry weather, absence of many insect pests, presence of the orchards and gardens and the abundance of fresh fruit and veggies, the beautiful lake and the wineries - and the cottage was a very nice place to stay. Thank You, Litsa and Dimitri!

Sneak in that early September family vacation here
We are a family of 4 (2 children ages 4 and <1) residing in NE BC who sought a temporary home to stay at for a week while inviting various family in outlying areas to visit our new infant for the first time.
Top 3:
• Great Host/Owner. Very attentive to inquiries and issues but respectful of privacy; a professional experience.
• Great Location. Family enjoyed direct access to Lake Osoyoos for beach play on well constructed and groomed private beach. The weather was dry and warm in early September. Location is best for those seeking a get-a-way as it is still a mandatory drive to Osoyoos or Oliver for some amenities. No Mosquitoes!
• Great for Children. Community use of two shallow pools (including one specifically for small children), two hot tubs, a children's playground with slides and swings, well groomed soft grassy areas for running, and a well constructed and groomed beach with children's digging toys were all enjoyed thoroughly. The host additionally provides more children's toys, books, and games than anticipated. The pools were heated while we were present in early September; however, please confirm in advance of other bookings as I do not believe pools are open year-round.
Bottom 3:
• Issue with wasps/hornets. The issue was identified within first 24 hours of our arrival and brought to attention of host/owner who contracted an independent company to visit the property within first few days to complete an effective spray of nests identified on the property (and adjacent property). I was still required to complete cleanup of dead wasps/hornets from ground areas over the following days but the owner's professional and timely address of the issue ensured no family member was stung.
• Ongoing construction is in progress. An additional phase of construction is in progress which is not immediately understood from inspection of owners photos provided. The construction is relatively far from home (>200m); however, was not mentioned by other reviews. There was no delineation of work areas which would prevent free roaming older children from accessing active construction areas.
• Garbage and recycling must be taken to centralized compactor by guests on very frequent basis; it was not clearly identified where the centralized compactor was located.
By far the positives heavily outweighed the minor negatives and I would definitely stay at this property again. Clean and comfortable. Thank you Litsa and Dimitri!
The cottage is fully stocked and ready to move in. Was home to my family of 4 and my in laws easily. The wide selection of toys was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!
This cottage was perfect for our family - we love the location, so close to the pool, lake, and playground and with ample green space to run around on. Owners are very responsive and lovely to communicate with. We had a great stay!
We had an excellent stay at the Cottages the location is perfect with the pool and the lake take your pick! This Cottage is so nice and close to both the pool and the lake and nice green space out back for outdoor fun! We had our 3.5 year old grandson with us and he loved the pool, lake and the playground which this Cottage is close to also. The owners are fantastic we cannot say enough about their communications with us as our check in was right after the fire evacuations, plus the ease of our check-in, wow. Bonus, the Cottage is very beautiful and well stocked for towels, dishes, bbq, fire pit and spices too! We booked again for another summer stay and highly recommend this Cottage, thanks Dimitri and Litsa.

Beautiful cottage! It was comfortable enough even with temperatures over 40 degree outside.
The kitchen was a bit cluttered with a lot of stuff. The rooms are spacious & were well kept. The children’s toys were a bonus. It is situated at a convenient distance from the beach, the off leash dog area & the children’s play area.
This cottage and our stay at the cottages was absolutely incredible. Everything was better then expected. This was our fifth year traveling to Osoyoos on Labour Day long weekend and no doubt about it, this was my family’s favourite place to stay. The communication leading up to our trip with the owner was awesome. So long as we can get availability at the cottage again we will definitely be returning next Labour day and many more Labour day’s.
Litsa is very polite and communicative. Both the home and setting are amazing.
The community has flat, well manicured grounds, with attractive craftsman homes. Burrowing Owl, and many other great wineries, are less than a 10 minute drive.
The home is well cared for and clean. At one point we had 2 sets of parents and 3 kids: 7,9,and 10. Everyone had a bed in a bedroom thanks to the bunk bed with trundle. The home has the bonus of being one of the closest to the pool - a 1 minute walk.
Even though all homes seemed to have people in them, it never felt busy anywhere. The beach and pool were easy to have fun and still keep our distance from others. The beach is sandy with warm, shallow water - no problem for little ones (or big ones!)
I would highly recommend.
This clean and well stocked home was the perfect getaway for my wife and I during our recent visit to the Cottages on Lake Osoyoos development. The home is centrally located and only a few steps away from the Community Centre and Sales office. The owners were very helpful and responsive leading up to our stay and their information package made our arrival and departure very smooth.
...says it all. We had so much fun the first time, we had to return. We love this property. It is clean and well decorated, with fantastic amenities. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay in Osoyoos and this property was an important part of it! Clean and stocked well, the owners were polite and always quick to reply. Location was great (seconds from the pool). A tad far from the dock but next year we will rent a cart.
Beds were comfortable and we had enough for our 2 families. We did find a small “mess” in one room upon arrival that we were able to clean up quickly.
Sad that it’s already booked for our trip for next year but we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you!
The owner was very good to deal with and very prompt with her replies. The home was very clean and provided nice extras in the kitchen to cook with. She provided clear instructions well ahead of time as well. We loved the complex, the pool, the beach, the grass areas to play gave the kids lots of options and it wasn't busy. The dog park was a bit lacking with sharp roots on the upper walkway and one owner told us there were ticks there as well so we avoided-nothing to do with this owner or her property just an FYI if you are bringing your dog. Safe, nice neighbourhood with nice people all around their place. Quiet and an enjoyable vacation. We'd come back.
Our holiday at the Osoyoos Cottage Resort was wonderful. The screened in sunroom was the eating and game gathering place. It was essential as we had a large group. The decor was lovely and welcoming. Having lots of dishes and cutlery was a necessity. Also the abundance of linens was great. Litsa and Demitri were easy to communicate with and appreciated knowing to bring beach towels. Everyone brought their own for the pool and beach. We are used to vacationing to lake and ocean destinations so always bring our own. We noticed some renters taking the bath towels to the beach. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for making our time together wonderful.
