"We were only able to stay one night, but our night at the Vallombrosa vineyard was very peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and kind and were gracious to bring me some emergency supplies. Although the property lies in a beautiful setting, it’s important to note that it takes at least 30 minutes to get to Lugano and the lake by car. "Good hotel with satisfactory service. Breakfast was also good. However the pictures are a bit deceiving. The chalet is attached to the main structure with the garden surrounded by those of other buildings and facing a busy road and the master bedroom has the window on the main road so we go regularly woken up by the traffic noise. Although the hotel shows pictures of a swimming pool, it does not have one. It is the local swimming pool open to everyone and to be paid extra. "
