"We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. "We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and having a kitchen was very convenient. What really made the difference was the hospitality. Jeffry and Oxchild were incredibly kind, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. They helped us organize activities, gave us great recommendations and made sure everything went smoothly, especially when it came to accommodating my grandmother. We felt genuinely well taken care of from beginning to end and would absolutely recommend staying here."

"SOLO TRAVELER REVIEW OMG where do I even begin. this place is indeed as wonderful as it looks and as amazing as the other reviews state it is. the staff all knew me by name literally within the first day. this hotel has an energy that allows your nervous system to completely relax. the aesthetics, the lighting, the music. as a solo traveler without a vehicle, the shuttle was perfect, it leaves from the hotel every hour on the hour from 8am-6pm and it has I think 5 stops around guiones and playa pelada. I also walked a lot which was fine and took lots of tuk tuks! (local "taxis"). The daily yoga classes were so lovely and grounding, and wonderful for all levels, even beginners. The daily breakfast was great, lots of options, and the included OJ was 10/10. Overall this hotel exceeded all my expectations and thank you to all the staff! Only thing I could say is that I wish the staff had name tags because they all remembered my name but I could not remember all theirs : )"

"I appreciated that a hotel as lovely as this was still welcoming to families. Breakfast was delicious. We recommend going to local restaurants for lunch and dinner - Il Pepperoni and Al Chile were favorites. We also appreciated the monkey bridge that brought a family of 20+ monkeys to the tree next to our room! A trip highlight. Our final morning we visited Sibu Wildlife Refuge and it was incredible."
