Our holiday rental, Hortensien-Blick, is located in the idyllic village of Niehagen—quiet and secluded, yet just a 15-minute walk across wide fields to the Baltic Sea. The thatched-roof house draws inspiration from the architecture of classic farmhouses and fishermen’s cottages, bringing it into the 21st century with a modern design. We’ve deliberately tailored the interior design to this vision: natural materials, clean lines, and thoughtfully placed details. Each room embodies the idea of reimagining tradition—minimalist, harmonious, and Nordic.

Particularly lovely is the mature garden with its wind-protected and thus sunny, warm terrace, which gives the apartment its name: Blooming hydrangeas frame the terrace, while hedges provide privacy and create an intimate atmosphere. After a trip to the sea or a bike ride across the Darß peninsula, you can enjoy the sun here in the afternoon and evening and let the day come to a peaceful close.

The holiday rental combines Nordic clarity with select design classics. The solid-wood kitchen, equipped with Miele appliances, is the perfect place to cook in a relaxed atmosphere, while in the living and dining area, Wishbone chairs and Gubi lighting create a harmonious ambiance. SLV spotlights add subtle accents and emphasise the open, airy feel of the space. The high-quality parquet flooring provides warmth and a natural feel, and the hotel-quality bed guarantees a restful night’s sleep. In the bathroom, elegant Dornbracht fixtures round out the design.
