"This was a wonderful home for the week. The cottage is well equipped.There are so many great places to enjoy the cottage’s lake views. The pontoon boat and kayaks were a big hit. Beds were very comfortable and the sleeping porch was a big hit. The host was very responsive. The lake was beautiful and we hope to stay again. Highly recommend!"

"The property was exactly like the description and pictures. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. It was beautiful and large. The cabin had everything we needed. There is no A/C but we brought window fans and the night was cooler so it wasn’t an issue. I Recommend staying here. We had fun! The sound of the creek was so relaxing."

"It was a lovely cottage. One surprise to us was that the lake was farther away from the cottage than we thought etc. It was a walk getting down to it with many uneven steps. Probably not great for older people and small children. Also its very wooded so you only see little bit if the lake from the deck. The cottage could use some more hooks or railings for towels etc. The kids enjoyed the dock, paddleboards and kayaks."

"We had the most amazing stay at this cabin! It was the perfect getaway for my two boys that are on the autism spectrum. Being away from the noise and distractions of everyday life, with no cell service or WiFi, gave us the opportunity to truly slow down and enjoy each other. We spent our days canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, and exploring, and our evenings around the fire making s’mores with the dogs. The peaceful surroundings and privacy gave my boys the freedom to just be themselves and enjoy everything at their own pace. Watching them laugh, explore, and find their happy place together was something I’ll never forget.This cabin gave us more than a vacation; it gave us quality time, beautiful memories, and a chance to reconnect as a family. We are already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend this cabin to any family looking for a peaceful, private getaway. "

"We were visiting family in Gouverneur. The location is excellent. The unit was very clean and the kitchen and bathroom have been updated. The hosts were good communicators. We also really appreciated the coffee and coffee maker!!! The only down side is that I think that scented dryer sheets are used on the bedding. My husband didn't mind it, but I didn't care for it. But the unit worked fine for us for the days that we were there."

"The best we have ever experienced, This "cabin" is stellar, they have thought of everything. When we checked in, they said just two people, and yep, we feel guilty, but this was just what the doctor ordered!! We imagined huge family gatherings here, but the peace, quiet and calm that it offered was great for us too. So many special places outside too. We read, we napped, we took the boat out for hours and fished (and btw the best fishing was just across our bay, behind the turtle log, with turtles on it about 7 at night, killer spot) We have been on these northern lakes and in Algonquin for over 30 years and have never seen this many Loon families. Four different groups, they were amazing to watch. We had a snapper that we saw in our bay every day. I did dip my toes all the time thinking I have never heard of anyone losing a toe to a turtle while dipping, we look around the lake and say how in the world do they build these places in these spots, well with this one that is 80, just unreal. Thanks for sharing this magical place with us!"
