The Waters Of Minocqua

"The employees were all professional, helpful and good at what they did. The room was very clean and the area generally inviting. There were some issues I'm compelled to share. The bedroom: beds were comfortable but one bed in room 315 made a horrible and loud noise whenever the pccupant decided to get in or out of. The balcony was littered with roofing singles and wrapping paper. It was so filthy it really couldnt be used. The 2nd issue was the breakfast. It was ok but underwhelming at best. No meats. Only self made waffles , hard boiled eggs, yogurt, or cold cereal. For such an upscale hotel, one would think the breakfast would have a more dynamic selection. Overall a pleasant place to stay particularly with kids due to their Waterpark and arcade."

"Came up north for a guys golf weekend with 9 guys and we needed a home to accommodate us. I found this home on VRBO and this home did more than accommodate. It is spacious, well maintained, phenomenal views of the lake, and it is appointed with all the modern conveniences, without losing the charm of the Northwoods.Ken ( the owner) took care of us as well, he asked if there were any concerns, I said the guys were concerned about not missing any college football games. He went so far as to install a new wi-fi router so we wouldn’t miss any College Football games on Saturday. (He said he was going to upgrade the wi-fi anyway). I would recommend this property to anyone looking for space, comfort, convenience and a touch of the Northwoods!"

"The property is charming and it’s in a very beautiful woodland lake area. The Host provides many thoughtful amenities. We enjoyed walking to the lake and sitting under the stars. The full kitchen allowed us to enjoy home cooked meals and We had morning coffee outside on the Bistro set watching the many different birds and the squirrels scurrying around. This was the perfect Northwoods getaway."

"My family had a decent stay at Bear Cottage. We were definitely surprised by the lack of wifi, which the property manager confirmed would be removed from the listing to avoid future confusion. I definitely would not have booked this place at this price had I known there would be no wifi. We also saw a TV in the listing that was not there, just an old radio in its place that barely got reception. We have a 6 year old, so 7 days without any sort of outside contact or stimulation was a bit difficult. We managed by visiting my in laws at their camp site down the road (where oddly, we got great reception). We are big Star Lake fans and always appreciate a chance to get out to the Northwoods. We loved the history and charm behind the cottage, and made some great memories there. Thanks for sharing it with us!"
