"The heritage harbor is a really nice community to stay at and a good location. We visited downtown ottawa, utica and starved rock. The grill is conveniently right out the door near the pool which is also very close. I loved the cute little screen in areas where you can eat your food or play games. They also have a restaurant onsite which was really good. They had live music when we arrived on Sunday outside near the tiki bar. The set up of the house was perfect for my family and we had...

"I booked the house for a work trip for three weeks. The grill was filthy, rusted, and the electronic ignite didn't work. It took two weeks to get a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the old one was left there as well. No grill brush provided to clean it and no cover to protect it from the rain. The carpet on the stairs and upstairs in the bunkbed room was dirty with dark spots. The outdoor patio furniture was dirty and torn. Housekeeping attempted to launder it but ended up throwing the...

Comfort Inn Ottawa Starved Rock Area

10/10 Excellent

"Clean room."

Postcard Cabins Starved Rock, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

8/10 Good

"Bring your own s’more supplies, roasting forks and a broom. The cabin was intimate and overall comfortable. Needed some extra cleaning as there was a large pile of leaves on the entrance into the cabin, so they kept getting tracked in regardless of the no shoes policy. They ran of out s’more supplies and didn’t communicate that nor offer a replacement so just bring your own to be on the safe side. There was literally only 2 small towels and washcloths as well so either request more immediately or bring your own,"

Indoor Pool Retreat Near Chicago: Sleeps 16, Hot Tub, Sauna, 5BR/4BA

10/10 Excellent

"This place is absolutely amazing! So clean, so welcoming, and so unique and fun! The children raging in ages from baby to 12 years old had everything they needed and will never forget this vacation! There are not one but two pack and plays so the baby and the toddler’s parents did not have to pack their in already full vehicles or set them up and take them down which made arrival and leaving so much easier! The swimming pool had a little swim raft for the six month old and water squirters, floaties, swim toys and plenty of beach towels. The hot tub was big enough for several people to sit in and talk, and the temperature was adjustable. The children had so much fun exploring the house and excitedly calling to the parents to “Come look at this!”The large attic bedroom has two closets that have a window and a window seat so this grandma now has happy memories of sitting in a little cozy secret room reading books with my grandchildren and playing hide and seek up and down all three levels. There are two refrigerators, and there are two ovens! With multiple families bringing coolers of food we really appreciated that! The appliances are state-of-the-art- the fridge talks and plays music! The beds and pillows are clearly updated because they are quite comfortable. The enormous and comfortable sofa fit our whole group in a format that allowed conversation and laughter to flow easily all around while the children sat in the middle coloring around the large coffee table.
