  • The Brown Bear Station is situated in a natural rural setting just beside Otter Lake. The Cabin offers a great combination of seclusion and access to multiple activities. Enjoy the relaxing sandy beach to go swimming, boating, jet skiing, and kayaking. Perhaps you rather hunt, snowmobile, hike, ORV, or fish. Spending the day shopping and antiquing. Brown Bear Station has it all for an ultimate year-round getaway.
    This two-bedroom, one-bath cabin was originally a gas station and then a flower shop before becoming residential. It is a piece of history within the 150-year-old Village of Otter Lake. Tons of upgrades- AC, sleeps- 8 guests, spacious living area, and fully equipped kitchen. Bedrooms & a bathroom with all the essential amenities. Yard games, firepit, picnic tables, beach stuff, & a deck for use.

Brown Bear Cottage

Wonderful stay! Everything was very clean, and a lot of nice touches (soap and shampoo/conditioner available, laundry soap, everything needed for a great stay). All of us had a great time.

Quiet and Relaxing

The property was perfect to relax and enjoy time with family after shopping and visiting local attractions. The town is very cute and owner of Jasper’s diner was very kind and welcoming. The food was amazing. We will definitely return.

Home away from home!

We felt very comfortable in the cabin. Kitchen facilities were appreciated, beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch during the evening. We wouldn’t hesitate returning.

Otter Lake

The view of Otter Lake with the fall colors was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay including all kitchen supplies & TV’s In all the rooms. The decor was all bears throughout which we enjoyed. The cabin was quaint & cozy.

Place was as advertised. Nice lake and if we go back next year we plan to look it up again. No issues at all so almost no contact with host but prompt reply when we checked out just to say thanks.

Long weekend

We come up for the weekend to go to crossroads village and Frankenmuth. The kids loved all the games in the house each night we sat down as a family and played games together. Was perfect for our family.

A cute little place that served our needs perfectly! Nice porch area and nice small town. Street in front is kind of noisy but not too bad. We had one small problem upon checking in but Tiffany was very quick to respond and took care of it right away. Would stay here again for sure!

Fun few days. Comfortable cabin on the rustic side. Cement floors, sulfur water. Nice bedrooms, 30 minutes from Frankenmuth/Birch Run. Not on the lake, close though.

Nice stay

Property was as described. Located right in town. But it’s a cute little town. Lake was a nice view out back. We had a little trouble with the key pad lock. If you pull the door too tight it doesn’t want to lock. But once we figured that out we didn’t have as much of a problem. Overall the cabin was cute and had everything we needed. We would stay again.

Nice place!

Overall our stay was awesome. House is beautifully decorated. Loved the cement floors and the plank wood ceiling! Especially loved the new deck, to hang out and spend time with family. I kayaked through Otter lake through the channel to the connecting lake (unsure of name) and this was a total highlight! So peaceful and relaxing - the channel was lined with wildflowers in the water. So pretty! We did have to pay $5 for parking to swim and I also paid $7 to use the boat launch to be able to kayak (I was told there were other ways to launch but locals denied this), however this was totally worth it to me. The sand bottom and clear water was awesome. We had bonfires every night, lots of Adirondack chairs for everyone to sit around it.

We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! The main bedrooms had super soft beds, which is not our preference, so my husband and I slept in the single beds in the game room. The house has all the immensities our family needed, and we didn't even use them all! Best part, we watched the fireworks from the backyard.
