"Lovely new glamping tent with hot tub. Location really good to explore local area. Staff really friendly and helpful. This place feels like it cares about it’s guests and takes pride in the site and accommodation."
"Our stay was fantastic. We were late checking in and they were very accommodating and still allowed us to order some dinner even though the restaurant was almost closed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. "
"While the room was clean and quite big, the mattresses were extremely hard and not comfortable at all. This being said, the electric blankets were a nice touch, and the overall room layout was very nice, especially the outisde shower which was quite a hit with the kid. The staff was very pleasant, the giraffes awesome to stare at, and the breakfast quite hearty, but we honestly found the nightly cost to be quite expensive for what we got."
"The family rooms are not sound proofed, we could hear the next guests room very clearly and unfortunately for us there was a very chatty family with a small child staying next to us.
The room was very dated with a kitchen fridge in the room, the lighting was terrible, very bright white bulbs.
We just stayed one night and didn’t use the pool and couldn’t find the gym which I think is probably a temporary structure.
The highlight was the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. The service was great and the food also good with huge portions. My steak was undercooked but dealt with quickly. Breakfast was included both continental and cooked.
This was our most expensive stop on the garden route so in our eyes wasn’t worth the cost. "
Old Mill Lodge, Working Ostrich Farm & Restaurant, Oudtshoorn
8/10 Good
"We choose to stay at this property as it gave us an overview of a working farm in Oudtshoorn. We stayed in a two bedroom modular home which was extremely quiet and nestled along the river. We did not have dinner there but did have breakfast. It was very good with a lot of options both cold and hot. "
