The Cass House on the Mulberry River / near OHV Trails

The Cass House is a 3BR/2BA house with full kitchen, dining & living areas. The house sits on 10 acres of land & is surrounded by the Ozark National Forest. You can access the Mulberry River from the property, a short 100-yard walk from the house.

We are centrally located to a variety of outdoor attractions & entertainment. It is located on Hwy 215 and is about 4 mi to Byrd’s Adventure Center, 3 mi to Turner Bend, 3 mi to Mulberry Mountain, and 2 mi to Redding Recreation Area.

The space
The house is 110+ years old and has been renovated throughout the years. The kitchen has been newly updated and is equipped for any cooking/dining needs. The master bathroom has also been updated and includes a whirlpool tub. There is a lot of space for living and dining. The living room includes a fireplace and entertainment center. The Cass House is ideal for families and small groups. Overall, the house is very charming and inviting space with lots of natural light to enjoy with friends and family.

The exterior of the house is surrounded by 2 covered patios and one deck to provide 360 views of the gorgeous natural Ozark National Forest landscape. There is an outdoor grill available as well as an outdoor fire pit. As we are in the Mulberry River Valley, our visitors have been known to catch beautiful sunsets from the back porch. It is a very peaceful and serene setting and a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or nightcap when the weather is amicable.

The Cass House is a historic staple in the area and has been home to our family for decades. We invite you to stay here and share in the warmth and natural beauty of the property with your family and friends.

Old Farm in the Ozarks

Really awesome old house…

We really enjoyed the house. It was clearly built early in the last century (pre-plywood) with hand sawn lumber, yet was still outfitted with all the modern amenities to make it comfortable.

Great House, Great Location

If you're with a smaller group (4-6) and involved with anything Mulberry River, this is a wonderful location. In addition to being about three minutes from Turner Bend (and about one minute from Highway 23, the property has its own river access if you're canoeing or kayaking.The property was squeaky-clean and had plenty of space. It also has three decks, so any time of day was a great time to hang outside. Well-stocked kitchen with any imaginable implement, along with a washer and drier. Excellent location and experience!

Kitchen was fully equipped with what we needed. Everyone seemed to like the beds. I slept on the futon which was not great. There seemed to be problems with the plumbing it was slow or didn't flush at all. The towels had a very musty smell like they stayed wet too long before drying. We cooked out on the grill. It was nice cuz it was hooked up to natural gas. It was drizzling when I cooked out so that kinda sucked. It would be nice if there was a cover over that porch area. And a light for the grill. I had to bring out a table lamp to finish cooking because it got so dark out there. These are all minor incidents and was a perfect location to all of the trails. Byrd's restaurant at the RV Park was very surprisingly delicious. We went there twice and went to their store as well. Overall, it was a great stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

wonderful family trip

we stayed here as a base for exploring the surrounding national parks and countryside and it was amazing. the home is well appointed to be used (we made all our meals without issue) and in a wonderful little valley all to itself. it's right on the river which is beautiful. it's very close to some great hikes though most of the trails are ATV trails so keep your eyes open if you're not riding. there are 2 porches and a deck so you can sip a tea and watch the land any time of day you'd like! would recommend and would stay again. definately would stay again!

Just perfect

My husband and I stayed at The Cass House for a trip with friends who were camped nearby. It’s exactly as described; a beautiful authentic farmhouse in an incredible location, stocked with everything to make you feel at home, comfortable and inviting and clean enough for you to walk everywhere without shoes on! The river is really just a short walk thru the yard and the trails really are accessible. We left feeling like we had been staying at a friends house. It was just perfect!

Trails were close by & we had plenty of room for 3 trucks and a trailer. We had everything we needed from garden hose to kitchen tongs. The house was perfect for us! We would stay again.
